Outstanding video! "The Spirit of Semper Fidelis is something that lives in a man's heart, and never goes away." Amen brother! Semper Fidelis from a Lady Leatherneck!
From the proud daughter of a United States thank you for all that you do. Without your sacrifice & service we wouldn't have the freedom that we have. May God protect you & bless you. Give em hell. Semper Fi
I am not a Marine, but instead my life took me through civilian life. I spend time each year at one of the places where Marines are made and feel that sense of pride in each one of your brothers and sisters in training. God bless you all, and all members of the service. Know that you are all in our hearts and will be forever.
This is the finest video I have ever seen on youtube, or anywhere else for that matter. Thank you for your effort. As great as this video is, I know it must have taken up a great deal of time. Much love and respect for all you Marines out here. Hopefully I have the strength to stand beside you some day. Semper Fi
I ship to MCRD Parris Island on July 5, 2010. This video is an inspiration to men and women of our country and gives Marines the respect and honor that they deserve. Semper Fidelis. Carry On. (if anyone is shipping around my date, lemme know.)
I joined the Marine Corps because I wanted nothing less than the best and to be the best. The Marine Corps is a family of brothers and sisters... The Marine Corps is the greatest military organization in world history. Semper Fi my brothers!
Absolutely phenominal job MrMontez. Watching this video makes me proud that I'll hopefully be able to call myself a Marine in a few months and become part of this tradition and family. I leave March 10 for MCRDSD
From these comments, I have read one thing that stands out in my mind, and which is forever true. That is, {Being a Marine is for Life}. I joined the Marine Corp in February 1956. And, I am still, above any other commitment, a Marine. The things you go through to become a Marine never leave you. It's like an indelible tatoo, it just don't come off. Becoming a Marine is the best thing I ever did for myself, and for the people who have to put up with me. OoooRaaahhh !!!
I joined the Marines to serve my country and to protect and defend whats right and just, and cannot wait to get that very chance. Ship to boot camp 2011.
Great Video. I ship out on May 19th to MRCDSD also however i sent this video to my cousin via email whose a Marine in Iraq right now and all he said in response was "People like that are the exact reason why I came back for a second tour over here" Awesome video though man. Outstanding job.
I did my time and fought my war. While your in it's day to day but it's not until your out you realize just how much you realy miss it ! I talk to my dad who was a grunt back in the 60's and once he gets going I can still see that same look of a 20 year old in his eye's who's still ready and wantng to go ! 68 years old still know's his general orders ! Just couse your out don't mean your out ! We are MARINES unto death and hear after, best brotherhood in the world !
OMG this is excellent! I am totally showcasing this on my page, all rights and everything of course go to you, and your page link will be supplied! :) OORAH man OORRAAAHHH!!! Semper Fi!
Good luck. I just graduated 14 Aug. Here's some advice for you: speed, volume and intensity in everything you do. you do taht and your time in bootcamp will be alot easier.
experience of their soldiers, as individuals, as a large majority of them have seen service in several theatres, along with training and continuous the training they do when not on Ops, they by far surpass our Marines.
you can join the DEP/Delay Entry Program when you are 17 if you are doing good in school you can go during summer for 3 months. DEP is to get ready for the real training Boot Camp... Which is a 3 month Training the toughest and longest training in any Military Branch.. joining in 1 year. Semper Fi
When your Forged in hell, its hard to break and your going to have to go through hell before, during, and after you try to break one....try is the key word. HOORAH SEMPER FI
2tourVet.... the term 'Devil Dog' holds that the nikename was adopted from the diary of a German soldier who was KIA during the Battle of Belleau, in 1917. In fact though, the story about US Marines being called 'Devil Dogs' because of this battle is a MYTH. The term 1st appeared in US newspapers, The Victoria (Texas) Daily Advocate & The Ogden (Utah) Examiner, in April 1918, almost 2 months before that battle occured.
Douche at my school told me that marines are weak, I told him that every Marine is trained in martail arts, marksmanship, and has honor courage n commitment carved nto his soul.
The important question is not why I joined. The question is why I am (what makes me) a US Marine. That is answered by asking the real question, knowing what I know now, and went back in time would do it again? Absolutly.
I dig this video alot man. The only thing is that im confuse is that idk which stands out or what should stand out ... what im talkin about is the music or the voice of marines. u feel me man? i would rather put up the volume on the voices of marines n lower the music so we can get a good clear on the voice.
@xXSupermanXx24 I leave for Boot camp on Jan 18th 2011. I wouldn't mind leaving earlier but with my MOS I don't think there will be any spots open other then Jan.
@semperfisemperceler im deciding between infantry and artillery as of right now.. however due to the simple fact that somebody has to step up and take charge, im pushing towards infantry. hell maybe me and you will go through bootcamp together. would be an experience. either way when you go in just keep goin. do not stop pushing for anything and you will persevere
You are right 2011futuremarine....but it wasn't Sir Winston Churchill who quoted it but American Novelist Winston Churchill, and he wasn't a Sir ( was never Knighted)
When applying for the Military, they dont just look for Grades, they look for the entire "Package", Leadership, Fitness, Grades, Discipline, and so forth.
even though im lookin at the air force, i would be honored to fight along side anyone who is willing to trade in a college diploma for the possibilty of having to give their own life for their fellow soldiers and this great country good luck to you recruit!
...and further to that, The Marine Corps' own Parris Island Museum has it wrong. Since the museum's founding in 1975, the sign on display there has read "Teuelhunden" rather than the correct "Teufelshunde' The plural of 'hund' is 'hunde' not hunden Basic German grammer, which we cant even get right!!
