I've been itching to do this trek after doing the Annapurna Circuit and base camp. It just looks phenomenal. Thinking about just going for it and booking a summer departure. I know Pakistan's lockdown restrictions are over now, but the UK is still making a mess of things... that's my only concern is having to isolate when I return before heading back to work
Certainly spectacular views, most definitely the most beautiful place on earth and a place which will stay safe from all the rest of the worlds crowd for a v v long time...few will get to pass these stunning treks
Great video, I am planning a trip there. Most companies require 21 days. I would like to do it in 14 as you did. I would love any tips you could provide, Thanks. Tom
Sir, 12 to 14 days is just the trekking from Askoli, the last inhabitant to back to Skardu city. But possible to do the trek in 10 days as well if you are very good at walking. If 10 days for this trek than at least 5 to 6 days for Islamabad, Skardu and keep one day for documentation. In that case, you may do it in 16 days.
Hi Tom, We are a reasonably priced operator running the K2 BC trip this year. Get in touch if you are keen! We only have one place left on our upcoming July trip FYI www.epicbackpackertours.com/destinations-k2-base-camp-trek/
Hunza Trek and Tours will adjust for whatever number of days you want. This is extremely exhausting so really consider 21 days only if you are in excellent condition. Be very carefull to only drink bottled water everywhere and stay sanitary despite the challenges and primitive conditions.
Loved the video. Focused, effective and crisp with stunning landscape. Felt humbled watching the splendour and power of nature in all its beauty so I can only imagine what you must have felt in the midst of it for two weeks.
Every video of K2 base camp trek, is amazing and have immense attraction. Is it part 2nd part of ZABERDEST-2. Lord of Rings and Game of Throne too behind it.
Great video. Which trekking company did you go with and would you recommend them? I've been to Everest base camp, but would really like to do this trek too. Looks awesome!
Thanks very much! I went with Lost Horizon Treks & Tours: www.losthorizontreks.com. Lots more info here about them and the whole trek: www.atlasandboots.com/k2-base-camp-trek-pakistan/
I have watched a couple of K2 basecamp treks and I must say this one was phenomenal. It felt completely different and raw to the rest. I think when you started it (Sept) most of the snow must have melted and the trek feels completely different. Anyways awesome video!
Such a beautifully taken, wonderful lived it, and look at the way K2 stands a sleeping giant, apart from that, many locations are superb and totally untouched and challenging you and quest me if you have courage, stunning
I Think I know This Guy. He was with The Jones Family(from America) on This Trip . Am i Right?? They were all very Awesome and nice People. Thanks man for exploring Northern Areas Of Pakistan.
It’d be great to name the mountains in words. I spotted a few like Leila Peak and the cathedral so I know a few. Do the guides tell you as you pass the mountains which ones they are?
