    हा उपक्रम फारच उत्तम आहे. भारतीय संस्कृती हा शब्द आपण सारखा वापरत असतो पण तिचे जे मूळ वेद व वेदान्तात आहे ते माझ्यासारख्या सामान्य जनांना माहिती नसते.ते या शृंखलेमुळे कळणे शक्य झाले आहे व माझी फार दिवसांची इच्छा पूर्ण झाली आहे.३ भाग ऐकले. फारच उत्तम विवेचन केले आहे. Looking forward to hear more episodes !

    Thank you Dr. Paranjpe for clearly explaining one of shortest but most complex of the Upanishads. With out diluting her above interpretation, I would like to add the adhyatmic meaning for our daily practice: when she says certain bad actions will take our souls to sun less dark regions & vise versa. But it should also to be taken as ignorance(darkness/bad gunas or nature) leads us to delusions(failures/troubled life) & knowledge(light, satwick gunas or nature) will lead us to freedom from life's bondage & ultimate moksha, if one leads a duty bound life without any expectations in return while completely surrendering their ego.🙏

    I wish Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute has focused on the various vyakhyanas mainly of the three systems instead of taking up only Sankara.

    • @shivprasaddinkar
      @shivprasaddinkar 3 роки тому

      Two systems only. Ramanuja did not choose to write commentaries on the 10
      Principal Upanishads.
      Shankara wrote incorrect interpretation of Upanishads and, Madhwa has to correct that. Thanks to Madhwa for a theistic interpretation than a bland colorless interpretation of Shankara.
      Bandarkar was an Adwaiti and, so the tradition of interpreting per Adwaitam.

    • @srinivasacharyulusribhashy7798
      @srinivasacharyulusribhashy7798 3 роки тому

      The commentaries based on the three main systems viz., advaita, visishtadvaita and dvaita are there. In advaita, it is the commentary odf Shankara, in visishtadvaita it is Ranga Ramanuja who wrote the commentaries andu in dvaita it is Anandatirtha.

    • @shivprasaddinkar
      @shivprasaddinkar 3 роки тому

      @@srinivasacharyulusribhashy7798 - Ananda Tirtha is same as Madhwacharya. Hope you knew that. Commentaries from later Acharyas like Ranga Ramanuja are normally not considered. Maybe in the Vishistadwaita school Ranga Ramanuja has prominence, but you cannot expect other schools to afford him the same place as Ramanuja.

    • @srinivasacharyulusribhashy7798
      @srinivasacharyulusribhashy7798 3 роки тому

      There should be reasons for not considering the commentaries. It is well known fact that Madhwacharya is Anandatirtha. Simply because somebody does not like , the rejections cannot be there.

      @shivprasaddinkar 3 роки тому

      @@srinivasacharyulusribhashy7798 - nice joke. Only commentary of the three Acharyas will be considered for polemical discussions. If karma leads to births and deaths in different worlds, Jhaana leads to mokhsha (swarga) but temporarily ?

    It would have been better if there was more explanation of this उपनिषद.

    As a very old man from the Diaspora, I would be happy to translate ISHA as Iswar not as GOD.
    In Christian world God is limited in many ways but in our Hindu tradition Iswar/ Supreme being represents unlimited. So let us come out of our colonial age mind set and address all holy words"as it is in the scripture".

      There's a channel called Project Shivoham on youtube where they do a good job of giving you the manner in which the Vedas are organized. You can simply screenshot any slide you want from the video.
