lmao i love when people new to 3d sonic are already immediately bashing the game when they dont bother taking the time to learn each one new mechanic :p
@@boomerthedingo2196 I know of a few really bad 3D Sonic games so I was a bit skeptical going into Frontiers. Turns out it was a lot of fun (the demo at least). Are there other 3D Sonic games you'd recommend?
@@Demo-Dash the franchise is 3 and a half decades old and put out many games. There’s bound to be some bad games, especially in a series that had the balls to experiment and try to innovate. By contrast, you have something like Diablo, 3 decades old, 5 games and the only thing that’s really new are the ways to screw over the players with microtransactions and always online requirements for no reason other than to pretend like they have a reason to sell you more microtransactions in a single player game.
All you were supposed to do to go fast was hold the right trigger man. When doing it in the air it send you flying forward. That's what you were supposed to do at 7:00
Took a bit of time to figure that out. The complaints about going fast were more about the early game where they keep placing obstacles in the way that stop your progress. The game did seem to open up more after that 👍
@@overdash_yt sorry to hear, thought I'd give the AI a try - there wasn't a lot of source images to choose from for the game. Totally understand how you feel though.
lol running out of demo time right as the first fight is starting It doesn't usually just end there, people have sped ran this demo that they managed to clear the first island of the game before the time's up (which results in crashing the game because there's nothing else to load) so you just ran out of time there
Bummer! I spent too much time falling off the cliffs 🤣Maybe we'll give it another shot one day and try to beat it for real! Crashing the game sounds like fun.
Don’t care about the AI. But come on guys. It’s just Sonic Frontiers. It came out last year and isn’t any “new, impressive game”. Just call it what it is. Sonic Frontiers.
That’s fair. As video games go I agree with you. As Sonic 3D games go I think this is an impressive outing. Mind you we were only playing the demo but it was enough to get me to want to play more.
@@Demo-Dash I get that. What I have an issue with is your obvious click bait with the AI thumbnail and title making this seem like a new experience. I was thinking it was a new fangame because those are very prevalent and well made in the Sonic community. All I'm saying is you should make it clear in the title and/or thumbnail that this is Sonic Frontiers you're playing. Maybe something like "We've only enjoyed 2D Sonic, But Frontiers Blew Our Minds" or something like that.
@@Demo-DashI own both the Switch and Xbox Series X version. Honestly the Switch’s inferior performance is glaring between the two. Lighting and colors aren’t as dynamic on the Switch, and you may notice you can react to obstacles and threats more effectively playing at 60 fps than the Switch’s 30 fps rate. In fact, they had to cut some things out across all versions BECAUSE of the Switch’s limitations. This game is definitely meant to be played on Xbox, PlayStation, or a high-performance PC.
@@damienalvarez2957 wow! Didn’t think the differences would be that glaring! I’ll definitely move to the Xbox to play the full game. Thanks for you’re comment 👍

Guilty! We learnt pretty quick as you start to unlock mechanics it gets very fun!
I thought the same thing. It’s the low hanging “sonic was never good” fruit that people had up their bums since 2006.
Yeah it's honestly great when people do that constantly
