You've got me thinking about Deforest Kelly's cadence. I think he elongates the vowel in the final word or in the second syllable of a word. Like in The Doomsday Machine "You're out of Line (pause) Sirr. Or when he says background in the opening scene of I, Mudd. it comes outs backgrownnd. And in the episode The Ultimate Computer he says ore freighter like oyl freighter. I still don't know after years of rewatching if it is an ore freighter or an oil freighter. Add to that the high low delivery, meaning he starts off almost yelling and then lowers his voice to normal conversation level. Journey to Babel "A Teddy bearrr". That's my thinking.

Well, that cadence seems to be the American Western influence. It is in abundance in Roddenberry's "Have Gun - Will Travel". As such, it is a staple of the Roddenberry experience. Glad you are still here @indetigersscifireview4360. Love your input and navel experience!

Thanks for joining me for this show. 😊
We'll be checking out Lower Decks (After Star Trek TAS is finished in a couple of weeks), and Star Trek Continues.

Great news about reacting to these. Lower Decks is Trek with a great new perspective and Continues is outstanding fan production with great stories.

Karl Urban did a good McCoy. I should think that they could cast an actor from Georgia who would do the character justice.
Anyway, I'm glad you like Season 2 better than you did Season 1. Looking forward to whatever you watch next.

I can't remember, have you watched Voyager? No reason, just asking....

4:24 Ice crystals because nitrogen gas leaked from between panes - bonus points. Useless red lights on the back of boots (4:10) - minus points.

Having nothing to do with this reaction: I was just watching another "Irish" channel(s) (Adam Couser (Northern Ireland) and Irish Guy Reacts (which I assume is the Ireland most Americans probably think of) and your accent (besides the 'th' sound) is nothing like theirs. Granted Adam is from the UK part (I just googled the difference between the Irelands' and honestly didn't know it was the same island... and as an ignorant American thought Belfast was somewhere by Turkey or Romania or some place) Your accent is more like my friend's accent (he's from Athlone) sorta kinda... in fact I remember when I first started to watch your channel (The Boys) I didn't know you were from Ireland, but could detect an accent which I thought maybe was an American Mid-western one. And/ so my question... do the Irish accent really vary that much depending on the area of the island you live on?

Geez. I just did a size comparison. It's not that big. I use to drive to drive (18-22ish) to night clubs further distances just to go out for the night/ weekend. Farthest I ever drove for a night out was from my apartment in Tampa to Atlanta, which was 6 hours exactly with only 2 turns.

@@CRAkins1020I'm not an expert but yes there are two Irelands, Northern Ireland and Ireland. Northern Ireland is part of the UK. It's where "The Troubles" were from the 1960's to the 1990's. A low level war between Catholics, who wanted to leave the UK, and Protestants, who wanted to remain in the UK. Belfast is the Capitol of Northern Ireland. Dublin is the Capitol of Ireland. Somebody who knows more about this correct me if I'm wrong.
Speaking of accents the folks on Tangier Island in Virginia have an archaic British accent. There's probably a UA-cam video on it somewhere.

@@indetigersscifireview4360 I knew there was "something" going on with regards to religion or annexation (with regards to religion?) but was never invested enough... And until last week thought Ireland and North Ireland was the same place (just one was "north") until Adam mentioned in his video he has a UK passport because it was part of England.
