I started watching your videos in 2009. I don't even remember how they were posted. It was all crazy shit you'd done and alley cat races, I think you had a camcorder taped to your helmet back then. I stopped riding after just getting burnt out trying to be a collegiate crit racer. You got me riding again, miles and miles of fun, even a few races. Thanks man. Happy New Year.
Mad props, in 2013 I built an electric bike out of over sized RC quad copter parts. I'd regularly hit 35-40mph zipping around the city late at night, smoking cigarettes, meeting/speaking with whoever I ran into. Never felt more alive. I've got a 9-5 these days, and I've really never been able to shake the feelings all those years ago. Don't trade safety for security
Living life your way and to its fullest extent as possible! Some ppl call it “living on the edge” and some call it “normal life” as a person who loves to have fun & enjoys moving around I think this is an amazing video! We only get 1 chance at this thing we call “life”so if you don’t take advantage of it and do as much as humanly possible in the amount of time you have to do it with bc tomorrow is never promised!
every now and again I come back to this video, it reminds me why I love riding so much. Nothing is more thrilling and awe-inspiring than this. Thank you, Lucas.
I slept on your footage a little while back. Your versatility on every setup reminds me of my late fathers style. So much so that ever since he passed in 2017, it actually brings me some type of solace and peace of mind. I'm a dh/trail guy myself and it was always so nice to get my pops out of his element and on a mountain or the trails.
Lucas I've been depressed for a very long time and riding a bike gives new meaning to my life. It makes me happy, something I look forward to everyday. Life is still GOOD.
It is only when you are Not Feeling the fullness of life and feel dead inside that people tend to do such crazy acts in order to feel alive again...they call it living to the fullest and living on the edge, but its the hallmark of someone who is Empty and Unable to feel and appreciate the richness and fullness of life Unless they are putting themselves at risk of Death all the time..... very sad.

I'm 2 years ahead of you, and I resemble a lot of what I saw here, but 40 years ago. Before it was k00l. And you're exactly right. And to the uploader: you gotta know that a lot of this does a real disservice to those who are out there fighting for cyclists' rights. Pushing the limits of what's safe around the general public, motorized or non, is definitely not k00l, nor was it when I was indestructible.

I think I can't admire you for what you do, but I definitly do for your mentality and for what you say to us. Or maybe Im just jalous of your insane life... Keep it up bro !
You have a lot of options, I say this because even though I'm lightweight, I jump my bike and land hard often which is a lot worse than a 340LB rider, as for a specific tough road bike, maybe Cinelli Vigorelli because it's steel
I can say the same for people cruising around in huge trucks and suvs all on their own. I've only been cut off and drivin off the road by large vehicles taking up way too much space.
