My children are all grown now. I washed for my kids until they turned 12 and they started to wash their own then. I still wash my husband and my clothes. I love my husband (32 years). But he doesn't wash and that's fine with me.

Yes I wash my hubby's clothes but he also helps out with laundry from time to time. I am the Queen of the Castle and he is my King. We are a team. I take care of the home front and he brings in the bread. I love taking care of him and my kiddos. Keeping a clean and well kept house, meals prepared, I love it. I love watching your channel. We are going on 16 years of marriage in Dec.

i don't mean this disrespectfully at all, i'm just genuinely curious. does it not bother you that your only title is wife & mom? my mom was a SAHM and my stepdad cheated and so we were homeless for a few months & it was extremely difficult for her to get a job bc she had been unemployed for a few years & for her to get us a place and so she will never not work again and i also worry that something crazy will happen like that and i will struggle to find a job etc. or that i'd have to stay with someone simply bc of financial reasons even if i or we were unhappy. i just have so many goals etc that i don't want to not do or make something of myself without it involving my partner & kids. not knocking sahm's i know it isn't easy but just somethings i'm curious if you've thought about.

I didn't do my husband's laundry the first few years being married. My grandpa learned what I wasn't doing. He told me when it came to laundry day he would wash everyone's clothes (his wife and kids clothes). Then he said start doing your husband's laundry. It became a learning lesson to me and since then I started washing my husband's clothes along with mine

He also puts his clothes in the washer but I set it and turn it on. I love that you have a power hour. My husband washes dishes regularly. I appreciate that so much but I really need to up my game on the rest of the house.

Hi Christy! You asked if we do our partner’s laundry. Very early in our marriage, I did my husband’s laundry, to help him. My husband works in the construction industry, however his position is not laborious and at the time he worked 13 days straight and off 1 day. I’m a person who separates clothes by color. He separates by importance only. One day, i washed so many unimportant dark clothes and he was not happy to find that he didn’t have anything to wear to work. I felt awful, but…I had a young toddler and an infant. I’m working literally night and day. I had to come to terms that where my husband went out the door each day, and into the weather elements, did not mean he was doing more than me or that my day was lenient. We both realized he needed to help more and be responsible for his clothes. So at that point on, he washes his clothes…happily I might add, and at times he has a laundry service that tends to his clothes. Plus, he doesn’t do my clothes and I’m so happy. Remember he washes based on importance not colors.😉🙃

My boyfriend and I pay $25 a week to have our Laundry washed, fluffed, and folded at a nearby laundromat every Friday, we pick it up on Sunday and we take 10 minutes together to put it away. delegating one chore has made my mental health so much better. (We wash our sheets and towels at home home weekly bc what’s a couple loads and also the laundromat charges a lot to wash anything that isn’t clothes)

This is great, thank you! I need a power hour in my house for sure. I have a chronic illness, and managing the house is an ongoing challenge. I’m thinking this may help me. Additionally- yes, I do wash my husbands clothing. We’ve been together forever, and in the beginning, his folding and laundry skills were atrocious. 🤣. I also found that he would not notice little details like grease stains from food. I am happy to do his laundry. He puts it away of course. 🙂

First off absolutely love the intro.. That's exactly what I done when our kids was little. Since I worked afternoon shifts soon as they went to school I go home clean for an hr. Around 12:30 I would throw dinner in the crockpot and by my mom picked them up from school their dinner will be done. I've always done my husband's laundry and vice versa. Heck been times I didn't have time to finish our laundry and my mom would finish it for me. Be safe and have a wonderful week love you guys 💜💜💜💜💜💙💙

I split mine "power hour" up between day & night. So it's probably like 45 min each. Mornings are unloading the dishwasher, tidying the 1st floor, and starting the crockpot for dinner. Nights are starting the dishwasher, prepping the crockpot for the next day, and kitchen wipe down 💞

Yes, I do my husband's laundry but that's because I'm a stay at home dog mom who runs a small business from home, so I have more free time to do all the laundry and cook dinner. Plus, I'm very particular and have a system for folding the laundry and putting it away that saves space and I know my husband doesn't care about that.

Laundry with a family of 7 here so I know the struggle!! My honey does his own laundry now separately because he wants to be able to find his things easily. Also I don’t add enough fragrance for him 🙄😂 We both do the household laundry but it’s mostly me. I just decided to start a basket laundry system myself. When we had a basement we separated clothes directly into totes but I noticed that the clothes would just stay there in the totes. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I’m also trying to donate the majority of the socks in our “sock bin” and just start everyone off with new socks. There is a company that takes them and turns them into pet beds which I think is so cool!!
