You have NO idea how thankful I am right now. I don't know why I didn't find this sooner. Our stereo had been locked for about a year. And now in less than 5 minutes, it's on. I love love love you! Thank you SO much!!!!
The dealer wanted over $100 to unlock the stereo on my son's '99 Buick, so he's been radio-less for almost 16 months. I should've watched this video long ago. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
IT WORKS! After my boyfriend's radio has been non-working for over 2 years, I watched your video and fixed it while I was at work. He's gonna think I'm a genius. Ha! Thanks!
I just want to say thank you for posting this incredibly helpful video. I have not had a radio for about 2 months now because I didn't know how to unlock it. I thought I had to show my gratitude.
Finding your site was the best thing that happened for me today. I tried a lot of other people and numbers and no-one could help me. I am now listening to my radio after a year of silence. THANK YOU !!
This just worked for my 99 Yukon… the 2 sets of 3 digit codes were identical on my unit… called number provided, entered 10610 and got my 4 digit code. First digit was a 0, ignored as directed, entered the remaining 3 and back in business. Thank you very much!!!!
Worked on my dad's 2000 Buick Century. I am borrowing his car while my truck is in the shop. Radio has been locked for a year and a half since the battery was replaced but he wasn't bothered. Thanks for great instructions, greatly appreciated!!
I can't thank you enough for posting this. After my Chevrolet truck was crashed, my mechanic claimed he didn't know how to fix this and sent me to a dealer. The local dealer wanted $50 to diagnose it...who knows if that would have included the full minute of time it would have taken to fix the problem.
Wow, I wish I had seen this video 2 years ago! I had it on LOC for 2 years and I was dreading to see and pay a dealer to get the codes. The former owner of my Chevy passed away so I didn't know the code until I happened to browse youtube today. I didn't think I would go crazy without listening to the news or music, but I endured well for 2 years. Thanks dude! :) Hope you have a great day.
This is the 2nd time I've had to use this method to unlock my radio due to a mechanic messing with my battery. Thank goodness for your knowledge, it's been a lifesaver. Thank you for posting this :)
NICE!!. Dealer was going to charge my wife $130 dollars and I followed the procedure on this video and got the 4 digit code. The 6 digit dealer code that worked for me was the 3rd one. Thank you!!
This worked for me on the 1st time. Also first dealer code works. Thank you. I watched your video in February of this year on a long trip from Florida to Arizona to unlock the radio the first time. It would have been a much longer without your help Sir. I messed around and unhooked my battery forgetting where I wrote my code, and looked up your video for a 2nd time. Once again, you saved me from a boring ride home.
Thanks so much. My battery had died and I was able to unlock the radio easily after watching this. Fortunately, the last time this happened I wrote down the code in my manual. Cheers.
You "ROCK" and so does my stereo "now"! I have'nt had tune's since I bought my truck 2 years ago.Your help and video was just what I needed.Thank you so much.
Thank you SO much!! Actually paid dealer to unlock radio last time it locked and after I paid I asked for the unlock code in case it happened again, they told me they couldn't give it to me. I wasn't going to pay to have it unlocked a second time, then I came across your video. Thank you again! :)
Confirmed that this works! You are AWESOME! My battery died in my 98 blazer, replaced the battery, and my stupid radio is locked. Wanted to fix it with a hammer and swearing, but found this video. The local dealerships wanted between $40-50 just to run my VIN# and give me the code to my OWN DAMN RADIO! Either way, thanks a lot!!!
God I love the internet for providing things like this. Thank you for posting this video. Recently had to change my battery on a car i bought used in 2002. BTW, the battery lasted almost 14 years, manufactured in June-2001. Anyway, the security was set by the previous owner. It took about 8 minutes to do and thanks to this video couldn't have been easier. You and the others that take the time to document this stuff are proof that the internet isn't full of cat videos and mean bitter trolls. Thanks again.
106010 then typed in the 6 digit and he gave me her 4 digit number to unlock her radio. Thanks a lot! Her radio is working now! We have been on this for 3 hrs and now I finally get to go to bed at 1:15am! Gotta get up for work in 3hrs. If it wasn't for you I probably wouldn't got any sleep for work in a few hrs. Thanks again dude!!! Just got a texted from her. This is what she said, "IT'S WORKING!!!!!" Lol
Just tried this on my 1999 88 olds! It worked!! Thank you so much for posting your video!! replacing battery put my radio in LOC with your help its back in play!!
Oh good! I was worried that this would be an outdated video, like either the phone number or the dealer codes weren't good anymore, but it's nice to see that someone was still able to use these numbers very recently!
Thank you so darn MUCH. I THOUGHT ALL HOPE WAS lost until i spent basically all night searching for answers! My car hasn't ran in two years. Just replaced the motor and i took the old one out and put a store radio in. Since it wasn't working i sold the store radio and didn't remember where i put the original one. So i was forced to go to the junk yard and find another one. And the dealer said 130 bucks for a two min job. What a rip off. But thank you for your help.you just don't know!!!!!!!!!!!!
OMGOSH, Thank you very much, I had to put a new battery in my daughters truck. Low and behold it locked the radio. I followed all your steps called the 800 number, got a code and the damn thing came back on. The dealer wanted 75 bucks and said they could not be sure it was going to work, I told them it worked fine until I changed the battery, theives these ppl are.....Now just have to find a way to do my 03 and I will be extra happy....
Thank You a lot. I appreciate it. I just saved myself at least $ 40.00. That what the Chevy Deal wanted to charge me Tomorrow. I watched your video first. The first set of the numbers for the GM Dealership worked. I followed the instructions that you gave. It worked like a charm.
Thank You So Much! This is awesome. The Pontiac dealership wanted me to come in, only for them to make a phone call to get the code??? I knew something was fishy but thank you for keeping it simple for us all. Thank you sir!!!
Worked like a champ, picked up an un-tested radio at thrift store was an upgrade for my existing radio as new one is newer with cd and tape, dang if it wasn't locked when I powered it up ...... watched your video, got the code--- up and running Thanks so much..
Thanks so much!!! I went to the Chevy dealer and they said they would charge me 50-100 depending on how long it took just to unlock it for me. But instead I found your video and was able to unlock! Thanks again for saving me 100 dollars ;p
Old Video but, still works! Thanks for sharing... We bought a 1999 Oldsmobile Silhouette for my brother. The battery had been dead for several months which is what I believed caused the LOC on the radio. I followed your instructions and whala... The radio works like it should!
we recently bought a 2002 suburban, The radio worked perfectly...The Battery died and the LOC light came on. We follow your directions verbatim. the first code we received was 4250,, the hour setting would not go that high. so we used another set of the numbers and received the same code. again we tried another set and finally received a different set 1802. it worked perfectly......THANK YOU FOR POSTING. APPRECIATE YOUR HELP.
Thanks for putting this up, it is beyond me who would have wanted to steal a 1999 chevy tape deck, even if it were still 1999. Glad to have my radio back.
Awesome!! Thank you very much! Cleaned the battery cables on my 1999 Silverado and the radio locked. This worked perfect, and the first dealer code is still working. Again, thank you!!
Thanks very much. this worked to perfection. Should be no reason to have to go thru this. I bought the car and had to change out the battery and the next thing I realize the radio did not work. My plan now after you helping me is to turn off the radio locking system, if somebody wants to steal this stereo that badly they can have it. Thanks again
so glad i found this!! got a 2002 S10 couple months ago and locked radio so had that dealer take the 60-70 bucks they said a GM dealer would charge me for them to do it off the truck...yea saved myself some money..
This worked wonders for my radio. I however, put the minutes in after the hours and after a week realized I was doing it wrong. Thank you, because my mechanic father said there wasn't a way to fix it, lol.
Thanks so much we have a car that we just purchased for our 17 year old girl and the only major problem for us was the stereo and it was locked and we didn't know that, and we got confused. We read about it in the manual, but couldn't find the code. So we put some research in to it, and found out that we could pay $100 to have it fixed. We knew that it was too much money to pay so we looked further. We found this, tried it out, and wala, it works.
Thanks a lot. I read about this same process on another forum but they only provided one of the dealer numbers. I used one of the ones the video gave and it worked. Thanks again.
THANKYOU MY FRIEND, I HAD ONE WEEK TO GET A NEW RAIDO OR UNLOCK THIS ONE -BEFORE A PAUL MCARTNEY CONCERT IN OK -6 HOUR DRIVE - I OWE YOU BIG TIME -WORKED GREAT -THANK YOU SO MUCH-JOHN -A BEATLES FAN

Thank You very much for helping out the regular folk, It worked really easy, also easy to follow the steps and just to mention, the dealer ship wanted to charge me 50.00 dollars. Thank You, if there is any more tricks for other stuff, I will be glad to contribute as well. Thank You
Awesome bro!!! This worked just like you said. Thanks a ton!!! I just bought this car from my sister and it had LOC on the display and I couldn't figure out WTF was wrong with it. When I had the oil changed I asked the mechanic to check to see if the fuse was blown. He was the one who told me it was locked out and to look online for a way to unlock it. Google sent me to you and you just saved me some cash. Many thanks.
Thank you so much just saved myself 60 bucks, thats what the Dealer wanted to charge me to unlock the radio, l said no thank you, and then l found your clip, That was great.👍

Thanks for the vid. Wondering if you have ever had this issue... I have a 1997 camaro that i put a replacement radio out of the same year camaro (same radio) ( both theftlock equipeed radios). I never got a LOC screen, the radio powers up, you can change the channel, play a cd. The thing is, is that there is no sound when all this is happening?? Any tips or advise would be great! Thanks!

Thanks!
