Between the 2 jumpsuits I prefer the first one. Showing more skin looks nicer and more figure flattering. She also commented that the material is more luxe so I would definitely go for that one. The blue patterned dress was lovely on her as well.
This was great! She looked amazing in all of the outfits! I liked the fact that so many of them were really feminine looking!! So many times we, with an apple shape body, tend to dress like truck drivers!!!

I was an hourglass shape before gaining weight and having an abdominal muscle separation, so now I resemble this shape. This was very helpful, thank you! The blue patterned Zara dress is absolutely STUNNING on her.

Melissa I've been binge watching your channel for a few weeks now and just love your styling! I have completely purged my closet of everything that doesn't fit or that I don't wear/like as well as my shoe baskets. I organized the closet between winter and summer wardrobes, all grouped by color way. The difference this has made when getting ready for the day has been a game changer for me. I love my closet now! Not only do I love my closet, but many of my pieces are classic, which has allowed me to put together a reasonably sized capsule wardrobe. Of course, taking your styling advise, I've added several new pieces which flatter my figure better. I'm retired, 5'3" between a 14 and 16, and I'll be darned, my waist has reappeared and I'm comfortable tucking my blouses/tops in for that casual, but put together look. I was guilty of wearing long tops, to cover my tummy, without realizing that the actual effect was broadening my hips. A few long looks in the mirror and I was convinced that you were right! Thanks so much for all of your wonderful advise. Keep up the great work! 🤗

FINALLY I can see myself in your model! I am also 5'1" in height with a rectangle body and a short torso. I loved seeing her in the light brown smooth, but flowing skirt with the cowl neck jumper and the green outfit that followed! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I get it!

Loved the outfits and advice. Would like to see the side and back more-with and without the bag.
I am almost the same shape as this woman, but I have longer legs and a shorter waist (I'm almost 5'1") so this was really helpful. I add shoulder pads to so many things I wear, and Amazon have an amazing pair in a clear silicone. I loved both jumpsuits, although I would choose the second one, as I prefer not to show my upper old lady arms! The line stretching trick is amazing! The third layer is often my saving grace. I always petite sizes when available, as I find the armholes are higher (more slimming) the shoulders narrower, lapels more proportional, and often waists are larger in proportion to hips.
Melissa, this is a little off subject but.. I had to share something with you. I try to remember to tuck my shirt in. I have been sharing why I do this with my husband. Usually his eyes just glaze over lol. Recently I noticed my nothing but blue grey and green lol husband tucking the front of his tee in his shorts!😂 I’ve not told him I noticed…however yesterday my shirt was out and I had tied a white jacket around my waist…He actually said I shouldn’t do that and I was right when I told him tucking makes me look as tall and slim taller as I really am…You are inspiring more people than you know. Hi Melissa.. I love watching your videos and how you transform these models with clothing. I wish designers would think about us shorter ladies. For some reason petite is to short in pants even though I am only 5’2 “. I think it is my short waist that bother me the most. You did a great job as always. I have told so many of my friends and family about you! I do appreciate the time you spend doing these. We had an unfortunate tragedy and I don’t have the money for you to style me, but the free content is so helpful. ❤❤❤

Your first model is a perfect model for most women that are her height. I’m 5 “2 wear an eight, but I still am very straight up and down with broad shoulders.I use to wear a 10

I always thought I needed my skirt in the smallest part of my body. For me its also right at the same place as her and I am also very tiny. I thought it would make me look more skinny, as its the smallest part. But seeing it on her made me realise it does not make you look smaller. Wow. I love all your video's. I am so happy I found this account. I am learning so much.

I love the green outfit at the end. Color brightens your skin, and I’d never wear the crop, but now maybe I’ll try one on.
I'm so glad to see this video. I'm 5'1", my weight is mostly all in my stomach with rolls, and I have short arms. It's so hard to find clothes that fit me. Petites are still way too long in both pants and long sleeves. It's so frustrating because Designers just don't consider all body types and heights. I can usually wear a Misses Capri for pant length and 3/4 sleeves makes right at the correct long sleeves for me.

I was amazed on that 2nd jumpsuit how much of a difference folding the sleeves up made!!! I didn’t particularly like it until you did that, then all of a sudden it was great! The first one was fabulous, so if in budget, I’d get that, but the second is also a great option with some great accessories!

Those ruffled shoulder sleeves are really popular here (US) this year. They work well for my large upper arms. And work really well for our Texas triple digit heat. 107° today.🥵

This episode is just so relatable for me and my petite rectangular shape! I literally love every outfit and all your styling tips geared to rectangles. Genius idea about massaging the areas of your linen pieces that need more stretch, rather than sizing up. I also am a size 10 everywhere but my belly is between sizes so that will be a useful tip for me 😊. I have my eye on the jumpsuits and that slip skirt particularly, although I could go wild with my card (don’t tell my husband)
