It would seem like that because it's actually following 3 different love stories at once. So it's just 3 storylines combined into 12 episodes since it's based off a novel.
I checked Wiki, and this anime is the only one that is critically acclaimed that is based off a Japanese adult visual novel.
In short, its a unique story about love couples who are all connected to the 2nd Season. I won't spoil it.

Yeah, it was really good. You should check out "White Album" it is sad but shows the harsh reality of a relationship.

Is Masking an effect added/used or is it just precise editing of multiple tracks together (clipping)
And how many different Video tracks did you edit this one (if you remember), I'm not so sure if one or two will work, and everytime I apply effects to clips, it applies it to the entire track, and not the individual clip (which is not good)
