Indian Army Sepoy Tarun Chauhan is assigned to proceed to Northeastern part of India that has been rocked by riots and violence with orders to report to his superior, Havaldar Mohammed Ali. Once there, he comes to know that things can be quiet for weeks, following by sporadic violence and casualties on both sides. His group also comes under attack by vicious terrorists, who like to cut an ear from a dead body, and then leave the body as bait, in order to kill anyone who comes to the rescue. This is where Tarun makes his first kill. Then they are instructed to proceed to Bengal in order to counter Naxalities, where Tarun gets to see action almost immediately. Then a war breaks out between India and Pakistan and their group is asked to travel to Kargil and guard a bridge. This is where Tarun will face his biggest challenge - a challenge that will make him a true soldier or lead him to his death.

This film teaches me to respect soldiers, commandos n even more tragic spies who weren't shown here. It really suits bobby n Ajay devgn and they look, talk and hv the persona of real life commanders n soldiers. Cricketers hv the risk of getting badly injured with dues balls and footballers by gruesome body tackles n shots but all earn millions. But soldiers hv exactly a trillion times bigger risks of dying either in the war itself or after being captured by enemy forces in their jails but are hardly even financially alright. And even worse they die willingly for citizens of the country who mostly don't even know the invaluable sacrifices they took for the country n hardly acknowledge their deeds. I don't only feel sad n empathetic towards our mother India's soldiers n commandos but for soldiers of all countries as they all r fighting for their country not for themselves. Jai Hind Indian Army and hats off to every soldier, commando and spy of every country.

I watch This movie during ULFA insurgency 2003-2010 in assam. Those days were so peaceful , 😢 i miss my birthplace assam so much. The area was MURPHULANI , hotspots of ULFA insurgents, i witness ASSAM rifles (the battalion with brothers from bengal bihar and jharkhand punjab assam and mizoram ) fighting bravely with an eye to eye to the enemy. 😢
My family took secret shelter in the house of my fathers assamese friend😢. Mridul tamuli uncle ❤️. I love you all people. My utmost respect to all the armed forces of india who fought bravely and vanished the existence of ULFA to myaanmar

8:30 reason why this movie was banned by Assam Govt. in Assam.
In the very first 30-40 mins of the movie 'Bodos' are protrayed as literally 'junglee'(apna desi slang) brutal gibberish language speaking terrorists in the jungles of Manipur. Yahan ke Attankwadi Bodos bohut hi khatarnak he and the army later refers the terrorists as just 'Bodos'.
'Attankwadi Bodos' in manipur. Really?! Manipur is not Assam and Assam is not Manipur. Just like, Rajasthan is not Andhra Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh is not Rajasthan.
This was and is not just geographical misplacement of the community/tribe or the terrorists by probably 700-800 kms but also a disrespectful and poor protrayal of the Bodo community/tribe as terrorists as a whole in a mainstream bollywood movie.
I am a Bodo and I am not a terrorist. I am a proud Indian. My community has produced many engineers, doctors, civil servants, governor, Chief election commissioner of India, dance India dancer winner, athletes, footballers and even martyrs for the nation. Back then in 2005, when this movie was initially released many bodo students, organisations and politicians protested against the screening of this movie. Many angered bodo youths broke VCDs of this movie in shops and streets in presently Bodoland Territorial Region of Assam, erstwhile Bodoland Territorial Council, Assam. Later, the Assam govt. implemented the ban after condemning the issue. However, there was never a single apology from the movie producers or director and yet it is still available on UA-cam, social media platforms and also sometimes played on national TV channels.
FYI, Bodo or Boro generally(on paper specifically and distinctively boro-kachari) is mainly an agrarian based plain tribe of Assam residing predominantly in western plains of Assam, almost entire southern foothills of Bhutan or Indo-Bhutan international border and few foothills of South-western Arunachal Pradesh(basically, the plains of northern banks of the Brahmaputra river of Assam). Bodos are the earliest settlers and indigenous people of Assam with highest tribal population in the entire northeast India with over 60 lakhs people. Moreover, Bodo as a language is a branch language of Sino-tibetan languages written in devanagri/hindi script. It is one of the recognised 22 scheduled languages in the 8th schedule of the constitution of India and co-official state language of Assam.
Hum Bodo adivasi(tribal) hain hum bhi Bhartiya hain. Ye hamari jati/community/tribe ke itihas me bohut badi dukhat gathna thi aur hain. Ye hum hazam kar chukein hain aur bhul bhi chukein hain bohut saal bhi jo ho chuka he ye movie nikalte huyein. Humein bhi thik se janiyein, pehchaniye aur dhikayiyein bhaleyi hum tribal hain aur minority hain apni Sabsey pyari desh BHARAT mein.

प्यार तो मैं भी करता हूँ पर ये फिल्म नक्ली सिध्दांतों पर आघारीत है। उस समय बोड़ो समुदाइ के लोग अपनी पहचान के लिए लड़ रहे थे पर Congras के चलते Indian Army बोड़ो लोगों को बड़ी बेरहमी से मारती थी।
तब तक बोड़ो समुदाय चुप थी। पर Indian Army ने जब बलात्कार जैसी हरकतें भी करना शुरु कर दिया तब बोड़ो समुह के लोगों ने BLT बना ली जो उन को चुन-चुन कर मारती थी।
