I'm a security guard that monitors about 50 cameras at the same time and hundreds of alarms at most of the places I've worked. Sometimes someone is doing something suspicious in a blind spot, and it'd be nice to have a robot move to the area. When I have to leave the desk, I can't monitor the vast majority of the complex anymore. When I get back, I have to review the camera footage to make sure nothing else happened somewhere else. Some places I also have to be checking people in and out of the building and make sure nobody sneaks in, so I can't even respond to suspicious activity unless it is actually an emergency, I just have to hope nothing bad is happening in that area until I see evidence that there is. And people get really mad when I miss something no matter how much stuff I was dealing with when it happened, or even when I say that none of the cameras were facing the direction of where the incident happened, or when I explain that I had to get up to do something else when the incident happened.
@@redlionesv suspicious acting people almost always flee as soon as I step into their hiding area and I point to the cameras that are recording them. The city is a mess now.
I moved to San Francisco before it was ruined. It was the place for bands in clubs at one time. Now it's trash. It's really sad.
Now I'm a city girl by the beach. I love cities. They're all ruined now.
I can't get decent Italian food where I live. I 🖤 NY. NYC gets in your blood.
Stay safe, and don't walk around looking at your phone! It makes you an EASY MARK!
i left in 1999 and miss lots of things about it.
@@tiger1044 totally agree with everything you said. We love SF and wanted to buy there. Thankfully we didn't. Such a beautiful city, ruined by Newsom and his party's policies. North Texas is so cookie-cutter it is depressing plus it has terrible Chinese and Italian food. The best food here is Mexican and Steak.
@FranciscoDelValle180 I'm down in Santa Cruz now. 10 minutes from the ocean, no view. I'm right downtown & can hear waves crashing against the cliffs at late at night. And sea lions. After the people walking down the street screaming gibberish have passed out somewhere. 🙄
It's downtown. What can ya do?
Everything here is overpriced like the rest of CA. Luckily, my husband's hunting buddy owns our 4 plex & our rent is low. Santa Cruz is like Berkeley, with less crime. Easygoing, quirky and the people are irritating. Most of my friends are up in the mountains here. That's where the cool folks live.
And yes- Newsome ruined CA. I'm old now, so I'm staying put.
I LOVE the daily fog. It keeps it under 80 in the summer & there's no snow. There's no calzones either. Unless you drive 40 miles one way to San Jose. Have a good one and stay safe.
Interesting as always. Thank you for your all hard work. I was surprised to see spot at the end. At first I was also scared of the robot, but I've gotten used to it. Hopefully, it'll be used for good and to try to help people rather than harm them. Have a nice day.
I didn't realize until now but you've essentially become a journalist. I've learned so much about New York and the politics there from this channel. Maybe you're not affiliated with a mainstream news organization but if you expanded into covering national news I might just watch your channel like reading the newspaper. But I guess expanding like that would be way more work for just one person. All the same I really enjoy this channel and feel assured of your credibility and sources.
"I'll forget what you look like in the next 5 minutes"
, and I thought I couldn't have less confidence in the police.
I'm sure he instantly regretted saying that.
Well he was being honest he’s just a human not a robot 😂he got a human brain cops aren’t smarter then normally humans in average there memory level is normal or probably a little less then normal
I mean do you remember every face that walks by?
That dude was pretty chill
I must be plugged in every hour in order to work-🤖💨 You over there please grab my huge cord🍆and plug me in..Sorry me no speak English..🤡
@@Ndogg012 No, but I would remember someone I talked to for more than 5 minutes. At least the rest of the day.
An adequately trained cop should be able to do it longer, and part of a cops job is to instill confidence.
Thank you for covering this Jordan!!
"World Class Subway System" 🤣🤣🤣
Dalek as a police officer 😅 I hope there will be no need to call for the Doctor Who 😂
Just needs a toilet plunger, sticking out the front 😂
XDDDD YES!! The Dalek!! I totally forgot about that part until you brought it up....Wow yeah, I feel the Dalek's did WAAAY more damage compared to these mobile robots. Hell, even Cubix type of Robots were WAAAAY more useful and ACTUALLY protects people from danger MIND YOU.
I'm a little disappointed I had to scroll this far down in the comments to find the first Dalek reference. Good on ya.
Of your last 54 videos, just 5 were apartment tours. I really miss those; that's why I subscribed to this channel.
I would never go to New York. What a mess!
This world becomes more scary every day.
Yep… The World Is An Evil Place - Future
It's been worse in the past. Imagine no police at all.
NY won't survive this summer, it's going to get crazy
I just said this at work yesterday. I don’t know why, but I have the feeling this Summer is going to be HOT outside!
@@GuerrillaGorilla023 don't forget it's an election year. The media and democrats will have to cause some race riots to give the democrats a chance in November.
But it might be the summer of love!!!
It's gonna be a regular summer
@@sundinfamforlife4129 you don’t seem familiar with NYC lingo. I’m not talking about the weather
0:40 I love that they gave the robot a moment to speak
"What do you have to say for yourself?"
"BEEP BOOP!"
They could go to a new one based on ED 209 from Robocop. Just make sure you take care of all the glitches.
NYC is done
Do yo mean New Yuck city? 🤢🤮🤮
If NYC is done I still see apartments leased within hours
@girlcause there are still delusional rich kids, the same ones + their parents, which are responsible for all that happening.
There are plenty of dumb people.

Sheldon says this to Leonard on Big Bang Theory. 🤣
@@ETTe316 my old manager used to say that when I worked in fast food. A Sonic Drive-in at that. Where customers don't enter the building
Great idea. No one in their right mind would want to do any policing in NYC. The mayor and city council has assured that. Robot does the job. Cops go for coffee. Everyone wins.
Robots can't go up or down stairs, it's like being policed by Daleks.
Don't forget the donuts. lol
@@kellysouter4381 more like an ineffective roomba knock off that can't run on carpet
Except for me. When a police man could stop the stabbing. The robot watches.
@@fear_the_smile961 cant get stabbed on a subway if you stay off it. Move out of NYC. It isnt a place for decent people.
I’m convinced Ny has the dumbest mayor ever 😂😂
*Chicago's mayor has entered the chat*
Diabolically incompetent along with his surrogate city council-!!!😉
The mechancal hound from Fahrenheit 451 comes to mind.
Im kind of surprised the criminals haven't vandalized the robots or hacked them to get into the cameras and systems to get all that info.

Robocop 2024 edition
I just love your content you always do an excellent job 😊
only just discovered your vlogs. been enjoying watching from Melbourne Australia
Robocop:1989🤯
2024:K5 😐
The Boston Dynamic Robot Dog (Spot) inspired a few scifi shows already
in the War of the Worlds (2020) TV show, those robot dogs was armed with projectile weapons and was task to hunt down humans both indoor and outdoor. same in Metalhead (Black Mirror) 2017.
😮will the robot have the live dog too. They need a robot as a mayor because this mayor is JUNK😂
The hypocrisy.. you have no right to complain about crime if you're gonna complain about the solution they come up with to fight it.
Rolling police vaccuum lmfao I’m dead 😂
Benjamin Franklin once said: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
He might have thought differently if he lived in New York and Chicago and LA... or worse of all Miami... in 2024. These people have a choice between a little safety or being murdered by some psycho.
Everybody is so worried about privacy, but those same people get on social media and lay out their entire lives to the world. Makes no sense.
yea
Only people with something to hide would have a problem with being filmed. As if regular street cameras don't do the same thing. This street camera just happens to have wheels.
While I understand what you are saying and the point you are making, there is a difference between what people CHOOSE to release to the public and what the Gov steals from you.
@@AldrickExGladius at this point who cares they control everything.
@@AldrickExGladiusthere is no expectation of privacy in a public setting. You don't get to choose what is released in public. xD
These robota remind me of something from Judge Dredd when RobSchneider hides in a garbage machine
Help, he stole by bag!

Wow that sounds really stressful !
Get a new job bud. That shit isn’t worth it.
Cameras are for evidence gathering not stopping crime. Salute to your work though
@@redlionesv suspicious acting people almost always flee as soon as I step into their hiding area and I point to the cameras that are recording them. The cameras by themselves aren't near as big a deterence as the person getting confirmation that someone is actually monitoring them with those cameras.
@@Electronzap I’m aware how cameras work . A person responding is the real deterrence .
That just sounds like china with extra steps xD

Benjamin Franklin said: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
I swear to god they watched Robocop and thought "Hey thats a good idea".
Personally The Cubix Robots (That Kids WB CGI Tv Show from 2001 - 2003) would have been more useful considering the robots can not only talk, but protect the user as well as use their strength and power to defeat any criminal, whether it was a human or a machine.
Most excellent work good sir! ❤
Major hospitals and saving clubs are using robots to help patient/customers. They are A.I., very friendly and helpful.
Surprised it didn’t get tagged up 😅
People are babies. They want to be protected but would sue if they are recorded.
They aren't being protected. That's the problem.
“I’m a robot. Please stop your crime immediately,…or I will take your picture.
Really seems like an accountability thing - a rolling trash can won’t empty a mag if they hear a falling scorn. The lack of privacy concerns is kind of incredible though.
Seagate Technology uses these trashcan robots to patrol their parking lots. They read license plate numbers to make sure no one is trying to sneak into their buildings and steal technology. It was funny to see one run off the edge of the sidewalk and get a wheel stuck in the grass.
In New York City with RoboCop? You gotta be kidding me!
Any chance you are going back to Japan? Been watching ur old videos. Those are so much better to watch then the chaos of new York atm
It would be more effective if it also cleaned the floors.
