Retrieving with Cold Game - different species

When a young dog is calm and established at retrieving dummies get them onto cold game.
This 9 month old dog has proved itself on its first cold game pheasant retrieves and is now being given other species to gain confidence and experience.

It is fantastic to watch how you give Mavis the space to learn in her individual way. Your guidelines are there, you know what you are doing. And that is a wonderful basis for Mavis to flourish.

My dog is great at grabbing birds, he's not very good at bringing them back though!

ooo, you'll want to work on that - dummy training will allow you to establish a good habit with him. Good luck!
