      Seashell Supplies Philippines sea shells are not creatures their the shells of creatures but seashells ARENT living creatures them selfs.

    I would have to agree with Angie. Use muriatic acid 1/4 cup with 3/4 cup water in a glass bowl along with a second bowl of water to rinse. )Count to 3; 1...2...3 and rinse in fresh water. The smell goes away and the original color of the shells will come back

    Dear I hv cichlid tank it's ph is 7.8 I want to increase till 8.1 so I checked on net, people said add seashell, do you have any idea will seashell increase ph or not

    Can we use clear nail polish or could u tell alternative methods to coat the shell like u used mineral oil like such other ways .

      @@sopura0528 I accidentally did that once- got back to the condo & realized we had one that was alive- luckily we were close enough to walk them back. I double and triple check the shells now!

    You did it the hard way and still didn't get the results that a 3-5 second dip in diluted muriatic acid would achieve.

    BIG waste of time on junk shells...and they still look like junk....wow
