      I love mine. It’s a 2018. I think the bike is an overall great trail bike. It’s fast on xc but when you throw small to medium chunk it handles it great. The new one with longer travel would be a great choice

    Aside from the NX mix up, this was an extremely great review of the new Tracer paired with the Ohlins I've been considering on for mostly bike park. I really like how Mike seems non bias and can quickly point out interesting details and characteristics of bikes and components. The Intense factory is a few miles away from me and sometimes I'll drive by and see if they have anything interesting going on. (they always do!).

    I just own a Tracer 279 expert, coming from a 2018 Jeffsy, it's a big improvement everywhere exept climbing on road. This bike has a wonderful grip, but for now i feel the same about the progressiveness that seems set very far, i am still in "setting" but that second part of rear stroke is hard to apprehend!
    High geo is ok for my usual riding and enduro races planned, i'll consider the Low for Bike park ridind or Méga style races, lowered the BB by 7mm in technical, natural and tight stuffs, no thanks!
    Chad box location or opener suits me but big con is it has a tight point at beginning, don't expect to fill in a pump, and i have to find a way to mute the tools rattling into the frame despite the neoprene pocket.
    Very cool bike, i can't wait the first race🤘🔥🔥

    I think intense gets a little too much criticism for their geometry choices. I agree they may lag the trend a little but i feel thats good because the trends always tend to push too far too fast.
    I have been saddled up on a custom carbine w DVO for the last two seasons and compared to all the other bikes I’ve tested, the intense suits me best. Not to mention their customer service is second to none (except maybe evil).

      As a rider who rides a intense m29 which is not the same bike but same idea of how it works, it is a very very progressive bike which makes it super supple at the small bumps but it ramps up very stiff very quickly wich makes it really hard to achieve the full travel

    • @Phlizz
      @Phlizz 2 роки тому

I’m actually figuring to buy a Orbea Rallon for my next ride, wich seems to be such a beast of an enduro racer. Jommdonyon compare the new tracer to a rallon? I’m actually impressed by my Tracer’s ability’s, when it comes to enduro race it seems that the Rallon is such a surgical weapon but as I figure in your latest review the new Tracer seem’s to be a great contendant. I was really looking forward to this field test, BUT, after the first 3 bike reviews with Mike and Alicia as test riders, you swap out Alicia with Matt! Seriously! How can you do a comparison when you just changed 1/2 of the evaluators? And one last comment, when the riders are talking about the “shorter” bikes in the comparison, if you remove the Commencal Meta SX (it is notably longer than all the other bikes) the last six bikes only vary 8.8mm that’s 3/8 of a inch, is that really enough to make a noticeable difference in cornering? Wouldn’t a great bike comparison be if they got on a bike, without knowing any of its specs, and just rode it and evaluated it. Maybe it’s just me, but I get the feeling they look at the bike specs and say “oh this bike is the longest one, it’s going to be so stable, and this shorter one turns so good” when in reality there is only 4.5mm between the two bikes. Maybe what I would like, is a comparison where the bikes are all covered, you can’t see the brand and they ride them and rate them, and then reveal the specs, but I suppose until then I will take whatever reviews I can get, and Pinkbike, I do appreciate your reviews and look forward to them and all the riders opinions no matter who they are, thanks for doing them.

    • @pinkbike
      @pinkbike  2 роки тому +12

      That's a lot of words to sort through, but here goes. All three of us (Mike, Matt, Alicia) rode all of the bikes. Two of us talk about each bike in these videos to make things easier - after all, the table's only so big (Levy takes up a lot of room). As far as looking at geo charts and specs, we typically don't do that until after we ride the bikes, that way when we're riding them we don't have preconceived notions in our heads.
