Except for Allie's covers, I'd never have heard of lots of contemporary artists, this lady (Adele) included. Glossy, over produced, wall of sound, teeny boppers screaming, louts doing ear splitting whistles, talent shows with inane interruptions, commercials etc etc. which hide rather than reveal true talent. I have transitioned through all of it and am returning to busking now that I don't need money. Fame can be a prison that limits learning and the enjoyment of becoming a better musician.
