The lack of individual recognition at college graduation is so accurate 😂
@@hauweiithere are typically 2 ceremonies: commencement (which this video is about), and department graduation, where you walk the stage
@@hauweii depends on the size of the school. Mine was like that too because it's a smaller school
@@bobbobert9379 i’m not sure. my college was a D1 and the ceremony took 4 hours but they did call out each name
@@jayleighbear D1 doesn't have anything to do with size? My school was also D1 and the ceremony also took 4 hours. But it's small compared to other schools.
my college graduation was at 8am. the girl behind me was still absolutely blasted from the night before.
Hahahahah I was that girl behind you. Except I’m a guy.
Whoever decided on a 8am graduation time was truly a soulless and loveless human being
@@At768128am is a good time. I used to still be drunk at 4 in the morning when we had to be up at 04:30 and ready for PT. Would then go on our 3 or 4 mile run.
@@At76812 i was sober and i regret every moment of it. my heels were hurting my feet so bad that i straight up took them off halfway through the ceremony and left barefoot. wouldve been a hell of a lot easier if i had been drunk 🫡 by the time graduation was over (4-5 hours later i think?) i was so miserable that i didn’t even want to drink to celebrate i just wanted to sleep for a year
@@At76812no it just makes sense. Y'all the ones who decided to drink
I actually so fucking scared of graduating from college I feel like theres a cliff and i'm about to fall into reality
It's a little scary, but the freedom is lovely. There will be good things in your future. :)
I felt like this when I graduated in 2020.. I thought I was the only one feeling like this bc my friends just seemed happy and excited to graduate, meanwhile I just felt anxious.. It all felt scary, especially in 2020.. But, let me tell you, you're going to be okay.. Yes, you're gonna have to send countless of job applications, maybe they'll reject you, or they'll accept you.. You're gonna make mistakes on your first job, but that's okay.. You'll be fine
I’m graduating high school and have no future plans yet… help. 😃
“Hyde John Alfred Smith Healy Junior III, first of his name, Duke of Liverpool III Healy Junior, Honors, the III, Junior” goes crazy
Reference to the prank call which was when the guy said his name was (insert name I forgot) the third Junior
“The entire business school stand up” got me. This is how UCLA does it too.
@@hauweii if you go to the general graduation, yes. If you do the individual department/major graduations, they do say students names.
honestly for the college one theyre probably gonna be unconscious before their major is called

“The ENTIRE BUSINESS SCHOOL stand up. Okay now sit down.” The ACCURACY 😂

When you leave college, everyone is glad it's over but terrified of the future.
@@y-tiplex yeah high school was pretty terrible but it's over in a month for me :)
I'm fresh outta HS, I graduated an hour ago
Well bless your little heart sweetie 😂 you’ll be able to relate with both soon enough. And congratulations 🎉
Welcome buddyyyy Im 2 years gone, still figuring out life stuff before I eventually go to a trade school tbh
"Duke of Liverpool" didn't know Hyde was a scouse😂
it kinda looks like those two are the entire business school and idk if it was on purpose but it's funny as hell
My sister was 1 of 3 people graduating with her major in our school's business school.😂😂😂 So, I totally believe this.
Pres Obama was my college graduation speaker in 2013 and that’s pretty legendary looking back on it.
"Hyde John Alfred Smith Healy Junior III, *first of his name* ."
😂😂😂😂
“hyde john alfred smith healy junior III first of his name duke of liverpool III healy junior honors III junior” had me dead 😭🙏
So real. They legit forgot me and three others, and they instead called out the names of more than a handful people who are not in our year.
Congratulations on graduating. I hope you get out of your college debt. I'm proud of you.
My hs graduation is next week. We have a class of 750, there’s just gonna be like 2 hours of name-calling, they don’t let us decorate our caps, and you can’t make any hand gestures (yes, including completely appropriate hand gestures) on stage so you just have to walk, get the diploma, and walk off in a boring uniform cap and gown. I hate it here.
If they’ve given you the diploma, just do the hand gestures lol not like they can take it away
@@blakephillips5164my school gave us the diploma sleeve on stage and then after we had to collect our diploma at last name stations backstage before rejoining our families. Some schools do that just in case there are final debts to be paid, you won’t get it that night if you don’t have the money. This was a public school btw.
As a professional band kid, i recognize and demand the removal of pomp and circumstance.
god i am literally sick rn in my bed and the bus from my school's band room to the graduation leaves in negative one minute. i wish i was kidding. here i am Wanting to play pomp and circumstance.
Where the fuck did the hats go? Lmfao 😭😭
“The entire business school, stand up” 😂😭
So accurate! They also had us walk the stage, but didn’t recite our names as we received our diplomas. So much work as a pre-med for so little recognition on graduation day 😅
Congratulations! I'm proud of you. You worked hard, and I hope you clear your debt!
I literally just graduated high school 5 hours ago this is so funny
Working does suck. In college between class and studying it was 20h/week.
This 40/week work week making the bridge on my drive in real appealing.
Damn, I feel like college is 24/7 in comparison. 8-4 everyday and homework as soon as you get home. Projects, assignments on weekends
I mean many people work 20-30 hours and go to school, so I feel like a 40 hour week would be pretty easy depending on your contrast to college experience.
@@kathleenmansure7416 I prefer 40 hr week over 30 hours of work, 4 hours of class, and however many hours of independent study.
@@julianmitchell3035 Agreed! Esp if you are privileged enough to have a career in something you like
Meanwhile: 2020 graduates
“Stand up”
Not even a second later
“Okay now sit down”
*that’s it..*
I was expecting the other guy to say he was hungover.
NO PUT THE POMP AND CIRCUMSTANCE AWAY I HAVE TO PLAY THAT SHIT FOR LIKE 20 MINUTES TOMORROW
I play next week, and I have to play it all in 5th position on violin 😭
IM COOKED
3/4 of the graduates left community college graduation before the end. i was sitting all by myself
x_x Yeah I believe that. Basically no one gives a damn/ actually feels bothered to sit there for the whole thing
Literally graduating college tomorrow. This couldn’t be more true
Congratulations! You did well (even if you think you didn't) and I'm proud of you. College f*cking sucks, so be glad that you got through it.
I wonder what my graduation will be like, probably not impressive considering there will be like twenty graduates...
ehh you'll probably have more time for stuff. There was like 700 kids in my sisters graduation class and there was a straight 2 hours where they just said the kids name and they walked up, grabbed their diploma, smiled at the camera for a photo, and walked right off. With each person spending about 8 seconds on the stage lol.
@@ashergoober Yeah my high school has like 3,500 kids... It's crazy and I can never remember anyone lol.
Guess I didn't miss out on a college graduation in 2020
I’m graduating high school and I’m depressed and dreading entering the real world😭
Damn, if only I knew what a high school graduation was like. Covid shut us down right before it
My friend had her birthday party the night before her graduation ceremony. I attended because I'm an awesome and amazing friend, and I've legit never been more hungover or miserable in my whole life
Can’t believe they graduated college to do high school professionally
where did those hats go
"I'm on molly" so relatable
It hit me more when I realized that "Honors" was part of his name, and not what he was awarded.
I can relate just graduated and it occurred to me as I shook the presidents hand that I would have to be a real adult now, jokes on them I’m going to grad school to be slightly less adult for two years
Our hs graduation was me waiting in my car in the rain while my principal ran inside to get our certificates. Now my uni graduation is going to be me getting my degree in the mail lol.
Am I the only one who’s wondering where the heck their hats when when they threw it
Dudes were on A LOT in college
“First of his name” 😂
Also their graduation caps never came down after they threw them the first time lol
Just left Scottish high school, we don't get graduation they just pick a random day in the last week and go 'surprise! You're done now' we get kicked out and told that if we come back to the building the police will be called on us
i'm surprised mark cuban survived aidan's wrath long enough to be a guest speaker
the way im seeing this when i graduate tomorrow 😭😭
Graduating Highschool this year. Feel like the college guys just... Without the intoxication-
I didn't even go to my college graduation, just stayed home and got my diploma in the mail🤷🏼
Same. It was a thousand degrees out the day of mine, and I said, fuck it, lol.
I did these back to back in one weekend because i did early college
is no one gonna talk abt where the caps went 😭
honestly this is relatable
Them referring to college graduation as "entering the real world" just told me their tax bracket and relationship with their parents.
relationship with parents part hits hard. 18's definitely when i hit the real world
As a recent college graduate, this is too real
who else went to grad school to stall being in the real world B)
The head nod was for understanding why he was so calm.
This short was fire
I was the only person they forgot to give me my honors. I had to email them 4 times and I got a sticker.
It was fucking comical.
Not that I expected much LOL
Duke of Liverpool.. I feel blessed to have Hyde as the Duke of my home town 🙏
I remember being at my dad's college graduation and being outside on those types of chairs. So relatable.
Lmaooo the "IM ON MOLLY" say it louder for those in the back 😂😂🎉
Me laughing along as if I didn't skip both grad ceremonies 🫠
Watching this 4 hours before my high school graduation
“Ur not” 😂🤣
Yeah I just graduated college a few weeks ago and it really wasn’t exciting. I looked forward to graduating high school, but college I was glad I was done, but not happy about what’s next.
why is no one excited about graduating college? no homework and you get to start the job you've been working towards for years.
Im glad that these shorts are the first things i see while becoming a freshman in college
As a band kid who has played at many a Highschool graduation, that song gives me flashbacks
Pomp and circumstance is so real 😭😭😭😭😭
Junior III but first of his name 😭
Literally today is my highschool graduation. Its so funny this came up.
The hats not coming back down is a nice touch
My college only gave us one notice about graduation. It said meet at theatre at 4pm. There was no other direction given. We were on our own
The anxiety the real world made me feel is the sole reason I’m getting my masters. Putting off ✨life✨ as long as I can
Graduated high school and college for this sketch
I graduated law school last weekend and the dude next to me was on his phone placing sports bets during the entire commencement ceremony lol
I’m sorry, the few seconds of pomp and circumstance that played gave me flashbacks to my last orchestra concert, and now that’s all I can think about
“No dude I’m depressed”
I *felt* that
That song, me and the rest of the orchestra, I can say with full confidence hate pomp and circumstance
OMG this was funny AF! Great job guys!! 😂
Being a Band Kid…
Pomp and Circumstance is sort of traumatizing… our seniors graduate this Sunday, wish me luck…!
This is so unbelievably accurate 😅
having been in grad band, i’m getting traumatic flashbacks from high school graduation music. playing the same song for half an hour absolutely KILLS your mouth muscles
Yeah but by university your mouth muscles probably have lots of practice if you know what I mean
I'm on molly hits too hard hahahahah
Bro we had the same song for our 8th grade graduation as the high school song 😂😂
"Hyde John Alfred Smith Healy Junior III first of his name Duke of Liverpool III Healy Junior Honors III Junior"
omg I can't 😭
"If university is just preparing us for the real world I don't think I'm ready for it at all"
My little sister is graduating high school and im graduating college this is too real 😅❤
I’m graduating high school this Sunday, and yet I feel like it’s going to be like a college graduation
Oh my God, I’ve never felt something so deep in my soul I did winter graduation and the real world sucks😭
"I don't wanna be in the real world"
*starts crying*
😂😂
I'm only a junior in highschool and do the same 😭...
ngl, i cried too
That's actually one of the main reasons I wanna go to college. So I don't have to be in the real world as soon.
That was so real tho! Me and my bestie was saying same thing! 😭
I think is why people go onto postgraduate/master degree 😂
