      @Poonam Singh, Thank you So So much and glad you liked them :-) Definitely we can grow them and most often I use 6 inch pots for almost all plants. But for more beautiful looks, much better if we can use slightly wider pot. Here (ua-cam.com/video/-tcHFko78Go/v-deo.html) you can see how Petunia looks when we use a much wider pot. Same for Gerbera and I would upload video about Gerbera very soon (with lots of flowers) Thank you :-)

    Hello Chandan
    I notice that you get your saplings from a source and surely I consider this a blessing
    Starting from seed can be adious and fraught with danger (failure)
    Now where do we get saplings as in our region its impossible.
    I did face a similar challenge fif Gerbera but found a source and surely that's a treasure trove

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  4 роки тому

      @Anthony Pereira, Agree with you, growing from seedling stage is easy comparing to growing from seeds! I believe, you might get them in any wholesaler..as in winter time they produce lots of such seedlings and then sale to smaller nurseries. Anyway, I am glad to know that you got a source for Gerbera, that's really a good news. Good luck with your plants 😊😊

    • @GardeningUpbeat

      @Jhuma Biswas, Depending on area, they are annual and perennial. If summer temperature is high in your place, would be difficult to save them. But still, if you like to save them for next year, simply keep them away from too much direct sunlight and protect from rainfall. They are succulent and rot easily.

      @Priyanshi Jaiswal, I do it all time as I grow plants in all season and so far, haven't found any issue :-) For Verimicompost it's fine but while applying strong Chemical fertilizer such as Urea, we need to be careful. Anyway, I don't think you want to use Urea on your plant...So, feel free to use Vermicompost if you think it's time to feed your plants :-)

Today I applied epsom salt to it. I think is it root bound On the surface of the pot when I do gudai I feel the roots. It's my observation. I need yr guidance .also I wl keep on reminding u about the cuttings. If possible could u pls share yr contact no. @Gopa Dutta, Most welcome and I was wrong it guessing :-) Actually, you got it correctly, since it's in the same pot from last 18 months, it's doing like that :-) If you prune your plant a bit, it's going to grow back again and this is one maintenance that we need to do for our perennials whenever we grow in pots. I hope, you have seen this video - ua-cam.com/video/XD4AhCVTSRo/v-deo.html No problem with reminding and I would try to do it soon...I don't use FB as well, just on Insta only for gardening related work.
