Love the tutorial, it looks great! We finally started making villages and did one for Valentine's Day. It's nowhere near the detail of yours but it's a start for us 🙂

I love getting to see your incredible backyard. It was really cool to see how a platform gets made.

Excellent video. I'm glad that you showed us the exact spray paint you used. I will certainly try your technique compared to the old paint brush method. Oh, I changed my username. You may remember me as Grumpy Old Man. lol. Thanks for the video.

Happy to see you back. Your platform is really starting to come to life. Thank you for explaining things so well. I have learned a lot from you. I even made my own trees for my Christmas village this year. They turned out great. Also, I love seeing your pups pop into frame. They are so cute. 😊

Love this video! I know I always write your posts are amazing! Also, love the dog toys on the yard! My little fur baby has the run of the house! Love knowing they have the freedom to play! A few questions-as the pieces dry do they continue to warp? Do you weight the pieces down or does it correct itself as you glue the pieces in place?

Thank you! The pieces do not warp anymore than they already were-gluing them down solves the problem completely!

Carl, Looks great so far! Nitpicking here, but shouldn't the driveway go all the way to the street? Driving over that curb might be hard on the car, lol.

Hi Carl. I could be remembering this incorrectly but in your video where you use the flower stems for trees, you mentioned you’d like to find them in white. Just left Michael’s and they have white n r 50% off. Hope this helps.

I actually have plenty of white, I’d like them in red, but they don’t make them in this type.

Hi Carl. Can you tell me what spray paint brand you are using? I have tried the rust oleum flat black primer and it seems to be eating the foam. Thanks!

Oh yeah-I’ve said it many times in my videos-you MUST use a water based spray paint or it most certainly will eat the foam!!!!! This is what I use:

Does this spray paint also work well with the white polystyrene foam boards instead of the NGX board that you are using?
