The bruised knees will be worth it! Then you can leave the sponsons at home. The only jet ski is a stand up. Congratulations on that beautiful machine!
I like the sponsons man. It stopped the unstable side to side wobble at speed. I don't mind a wobble on the smaller older skis, but on this? I want it dialed.
@@wed3kgreat idea on 550! I forgot about the ease of bailing on those skinny agile bastards😅 one wrong ripple in the water sends me tumbling every time.
Well there you go, second time riding the new SXR and you're doing way better. Btw, it looks like you switched coasts because that area looks nothing like SoCal. Enjoy!
Gets rid of most of that side to side rolling that's so unsettling. But like I said it's a bit more on rails, so there's just a tiny bit less sliding too.
Lookin great man! Love seeing the standups making a comeback. Looking to pick one of these up soon. How's the fuel consumption been? Can you ride all day on one tank? Or is she pretty thirsty every couple of hours? And how have the sponsons effected top speed at all? Keep it up!!
Fuel consumption is really good. I'm not sure about riding all day one one tank, but I think I ran this until the warning light came on and it was just over 3 and a half gallons to fill it after 4 or so hours on the water. Obviously running flat out for longer would increase your consumption. I ran on memorial day weekend for about 8 hours (on and off) and it wasn't until on the way back to the ramp that it low low. The sponsons are GREAT; they completely get rid of the side to side wobble that I did not like on my first ride. Does it scrub the top speed? I don't think so, however if it did scrub a mile or 2 that would be fine by me. I've hit top speed on this a few times and it scares me all the same.
@@badm0t0rf1ng3r Thank you so so much for taking the time to respond and make your videos brother!! Keep enjoying that beautiful machine out there on the water and God Bless!
I need to remind myself not to be so tense. I definitely squat and pull back as much as I can when I try to go all out... or about as much as I'm willing to go so far.

And yeah bruised knees and bruised ego! Lol thank you.
@badm0t0rf1ng3r I don't want any wobble lol. I put them on my 550 and I can ride all day without falling but it kills your top end.
@@wed3k I'm just talking about how the sxr handles compared to a 550 or 750.

The sponsons change everything. The chine walk is gone. I'm feeling comfortable. I recording mid 30s top end too. Just enjoying the process.
Heck yah!!! We probably gonna try some sponsons this year! Keep killing it! If you ant crashing you ant getting better 😎 🤘🏼

@the_corporate_kid7763 I try my best to reply to all comments. I will, thank you and same!
Better every day you ride!
Thanks bro, I appreciate it. Every ride is a learning experience!
Уже значительно лучше!))) тренировки дают пользу!))) уже скоро начнете трюки делать))) нырок, свечку (езда вверх носом), полицейский разворот)))
You're very optimistic.
Looking good man, remember to bend ze knees and get your weight down. Im usually squatting most of the time unless cruising.
