Now I understand why I have such an aversion to all Roman Catholic Holidays. The Popes through the centuries appropriated pagan feasts and festivals and invented fables to make them seem more "Christian" - they didn't just change Sabbath worship to Sunday, they replaced every single one of God's Holy Sabbaths that He gave to the Hebrews. So they obliterated God's word completely and totally. They created an entire parallel false religion. I was born into Roman Catholicism and raised Catholic until I was 12. I left Catholicism and I read the Bible and became a Baptist when I was 18. I did not know about Seventh Day Adventists until I read The Great Controversy about 10 years ago. So nothing related to RCC for me. God rescued me from that. No Saint holidays. No Mary idolatry. No pagan trappings like evergreen trees. Even Halloween is an actual RCC holy day - a three day celebration of All Saints Day.

I have learned so much from Walter. I have been an Adventist all my life but my pastors always down played anything EG White had to say. Now to find a church that preaches or has members that have the same thoughts about the soon coming of Christ is impossible to find. So I’m reaching out here because I miss talking to like minded people. Even mine and my husbands family have changed their thoughts on present truths. Are there anyone else that is finding this to be true too?

We returned to the edge of a large city in California. The retreat area we lived in for 10 years was lacking in medical, water, food . But full of crime and despair.
After listening to the very end, I was very disturbed, but in a moment, I remembered God’s promises in Psalm 91 and I listened to the song by Maranatha called He Won’t! I know in my heart that God will provide a way for me and my daughter. The rest of my family just won’t accept what I have tried to show them, so all I can do is pray for them! I have a pretty major surgery coming up soon, I am 70 years old and I see two scenarios; one, God decides I have done all I could do and decides to put me to sleep or two, I survive the surgery and He provides a way for us to move to the country so I can prove to my family that God’s promises are real! My brother is not allowed to preach on our belief that the Pope is the anti-christ or what the mark of the beawst is. I asked one church pastor why he wouldn't use EGW in his sermons and he told me it was Conference policy. They aren't allowed. I don't think it's the worldwide church though.

thank you HEAVENLY Father, in the name of JESUS CHRIST you are sending your love thru these 2 your messengers I had no money, I has no man I knew really no one who wanted to leave, but by faith I packed all my belongings and lived out of boxes for over a year then when the pandemic started God said now go look , but He sent another sister in my church to go seek country property. we did get a property at a good price but God in His wisdom placed us near people who are willing to help us. These precious souls are not of us many have no church. We have been blessed to see God transforming us to really know Him and develop His character . It has been rough at times but am so thankful for these trials its God's way of giving us true strength and faith to be totally in the promises and life of JESUS CHRIST. even in the south the mind set of the other churches and sometimes our own is one of darkness, refusing to come into God's marvelous light. please continue to pray for us to reach these souls and that the mind set of us to recognize and realize what hour of earth history we are in thank you HEAVENLY Father for keeping your true servants faithful.

I have a question guys. How do we know that every prophecy has a type & anti type.? And if they all do why are they called prophecy singular & not "prophecies" or prophecy parings.? This was such an excellent study on the Abomination of Desolation. As you kept mentioning the standard of the Roman army, I was reminded of Daniel 11:45 because I often mentally change the “tents” of their palace to “standard”. But after this discussion, with you linking the “standards” to the Sunday law, I realized: a) verse 45’s “tents” (“standards”) could be referencing the Sunday law; and b) “tents” of their palace represent their mark of authority. This also helps to confirm my suspicion these past months that we are and have been experiencing Daniel 11:44-their going out with great fury to destroy and take away many (because they “hear” the distant drumbeats of Jesus’ soon return).

The Bible tells us Daniel spake of the obomination of desolation not that he wrote of it. The experience of Daniel was that he was carried off into Babylon as a captive after the fall in of Jerusalem and destruction of Solomon's temple. In Ezekial 8 we see why God allowed this. The greatest obomination recorded by the prophet Ezekial was Sun worship (Ezekial 8:16). Sunday observance is a form of worship of the Sun. Being a staunch practice of Catholism I belief Sunday observance is what Matthew 24:15 refers to.

Why are you interpreting Dan 11:31 as a spiritual application? Daniel chapter 11 is a literal interpretation. You can;t just switch to a spiritual interpretation when it suits you.

If you don’t you will burn in the lake of fire for all eternity. You will not rise in the first resurrection. Ezekiel 8 prophesies about the abominations in the sanctuary taking place right before the judgment. It is seen that idolatry-worship of a false god-the image of jealousy makes the true God go far away from the sanctuary. This lines up with the false god set up as shown in Daniel 11:36-39.

Christ alone makes righteous, not anything you do. Then Christ's righteousness lives in you to be all he alone empowers you to be. Why not say I am a grape and because of my obedience to grow I have become such a tasty ripe grape, but have you not forgotten that Christ is the true vine and that apart from him you can do nothing? But you say yes I can be obedient because my obedience is of such glorious stature that God's life giving energies must obey the laws and principals of true obedience and make me grow to bear all the glory my obedience affords. Abraham was attributed as righteous before he done anything, he believed in God's word and because of that faith he was attributed as a righteous man. Then later he was tested by God to sacrifice his son Issac which was his obedience to God resulting from faith, however his state of being approved by God was already settled before he was going to sacrifice his son. So you say obedience is what makes you acceptable to God, when in fact obedience resulted in being approved by God through faith in his word.

October 22nd, 1844 is considered to be the very foundation of the SDA movement, a "pilar", therefore the answer to my question is "fundamental". Again, here is the question: What Scripture did William Miller use (as the basis) to arrive at the October 22nd, 1844 date? Now I understand why I have such an aversion to all Roman Catholic Holidays. The Popes through the centuries appropriated pagan feasts and festivals and invented fables to make them seem more "Christian" - they didn't just change Sabbath worship to Sunday, they replaced every single one of God's Holy Sabbaths that He gave to the Hebrews. So they obliterated God's word completely and totally. They created an entire parallel false religion. I was born into Roman Catholicism and raised Catholic until I was 12. I left Catholicism and I read the Bible and became a Baptist when I was 18. I did not know about Seventh Day Adventists until I read The Great Controversy about 10 years ago.
So nothing related to RCC for me. God rescued me from that. No Saint holidays. No Mary idolatry. No pagan trappings like evergreen trees. Even Halloween is an actual RCC holy day - a three day celebration of All Saints Day.

I have learned so much from Walter. I have been an Adventist all my life but my pastors always down played anything EG White had to say. Now to find a church that preaches or has members that have the same thoughts about the soon coming of Christ is impossible to find. So I’m reaching out here because I miss talking to like minded people. Even mine and my husbands family have changed their thoughts on present truths. I'd like to talk with you about being out of the city.
We returned to the edge of a large city in California. The retreat area we lived in for 10 years was lacking in medical, water, food . But full of crime and despair.
After listening to the very end, I was very disturbed, but in a moment, I remembered God’s promises in Psalm 91 and I listened to the song by Maranatha called He Won’t! I know in my heart that God will provide a way for me and my daughter. The rest of my family just won’t accept what I have tried to show them, so all I can do is pray for them! I have a pretty major surgery coming up soon, I am 70 years old and I see two scenarios; one, God decides I have done all I could do and decides to put me to sleep or two, I survive the surgery and He provides a way for us to move to the country so I can prove to my family that God’s promises are real! Please pray for me and my family! Thank you 🙏

It has been rough at times but am so thankful for these trials its God's way of giving us true strength and faith to be totally in the promises and life of JESUS CHRIST. even in the south the mind set of the other churches and sometimes our own is one of darkness, refusing to come into God's marvelous light. please continue to pray for us to reach these souls and that the mind set of us to recognize and realize what hour of earth history we are in thank you HEAVENLY Father for keeping your true servants faithful.

As you kept mentioning the standard of the Roman army, I was reminded of Daniel 11:45 because I often mentally change the “tents” of their palace to “standard”. But after this discussion, with you linking the “standards” to the Sunday law, I realized: a) verse 45’s “tents” (“standards”) could be referencing the Sunday law; and b) “tents” of their palace represent their mark of authority.
This also helps to confirm my suspicion these past months that we are and have been experiencing Daniel 11:44-their going out with great fury to destroy and take away many (because they “hear” the distant drumbeats of Jesus’ soon return).

Again, I hear Walter saying that they claim it is their mark of authority, I have been researching this and can’t find this statement anywhere, Walter once mentioned it in his total onslaught series, providing a source in the Catholic Herold of London , ontario , which I researched and could not confirm this statement. I looked it up one time and found it, but recently when I tried to do it again I couldn't find the same place. I'll look again though 'cause I also want to be able to show it. The Bible tells us Daniel spake of the obomination of desolation not that he wrote of it. The experience of Daniel was that he was carried off into Babylon as a captive after the fall in of Jerusalem and destruction of Solomon's temple. In Ezekial 8 we see why God allowed this. The greatest obomination recorded by the prophet Ezekial was Sun worship (Ezekial 8:16). Sunday observance is a form of worship of the Sun. Being a staunch practice of Catholism I belief Sunday observance is what Matthew 24:15 refers to.
In Daniel, the truth was cast to the ground. RCC system is guilty of many abominations. The blasphemous little horn power changed God's times and laws. Her cup will be full when the Beast, and its image, speak as a dragon to make a Sunday worship law.
Why are you interpreting Dan 11:31 as a spiritual application? Daniel chapter 11 is a literal interpretation. You can;t just switch to a spiritual interpretation when it suits you.
Prophecy is to be interpreted spiritually since the death of Christ.

Let us ask a hypothetical question: What is the spiritual disadvantage of the church TAKING FLIGHT BEFORE IT IS TIME ? This question is very important because, it will defeat God's plan if, when the warning message is not yet completed, God's people take flight.
Therefore, the subject of knowing what constitutes Abomination of Desolation being set up needs to be perfectly understood.

Ezekiel 8 prophesies about the abominations in the sanctuary taking place right before the judgment. It is seen that idolatry-worship of a false god-the image of jealousy makes the true God go far away from the sanctuary.
This lines up with the false god set up as shown in Daniel 11:36-39.

Christ alone makes righteous, not anything you do. Then Christ's righteousness lives in you to be all he alone empowers you to be. Why not say I am a grape and because of my obedience to grow I have become such a tasty ripe grape, but have you not forgotten that Christ is the true vine and that apart from him you can do nothing? But you say yes I can be obedient because my obedience is of such glorious stature that God's life giving energies must obey the laws and principals of true obedience and make me grow to bear all the glory my obedience affords. Abraham was attributed as righteous before he done anything, he believed in God's word and because of that faith he was attributed as a righteous man. Then later he was tested by God to sacrifice his son Issac which was his obedience to God resulting from faith, however his state of being approved by God was already settled before he was going to sacrifice his son. So you say obedience is what makes you acceptable to God, when in fact obedience resulted in being approved by God through faith in his word.

Clash of Minds my question remains un-answered. The "further study links" you provided... none are directly from Scripture. October 22nd, 1844 is considered to be the very foundation of the SDA movement, a "pilar", therefore the answer to my question is "fundamental". Again, here is the question:
What Scripture did William Miller use (as the basis) to arrive at the October 22nd, 1844 date? Not so much how W.M. arrived at the 1844 year (which is the end of the 2300 days) but how he arrived at Oct, 22nd? Anyone?
P.D. This posting is directed to Walter Veith and Martin Smith. To the other folks having to read it I apologize. See, for years I've asked this channel (and many other SDA pastors also) that very question and none have been brave or knowledgeable enough to provide a direct Scriptural answer for said date. I'm not frustrated for not getting an answer, the frustration comes from the "errors✓" they continue to teach to them who are unawares.
