    Boundry relations can be quite difficult, especially when someone has been there longer and or grew up there. I think it's a little human nature, but if a ' howdy neighbor, what's going on' doesn't work, then indeed we have law enforcement for such times.

    • @JCsBees
      @JCsBees  5 місяців тому +4

      Agreed. I tried for several years to do the "Howdy neighbor" and it failed me every time. I even started buying raw milk from him for awhile to feed a couple calves. Later that day his livestock would be grazing in my pasture. So aggravating!

    Jason I have been using Reolink Cameras for years now and price to quaility you can't beat them. I like their battery powered camera's maintained by solar panels. I do love the Reolink TrackMix PoE
    4K Dual-Lens PTZ Camera with Motion Tracking. I have 2 of them watching over my lot. They have so many models to choose from depending on the purpose. Whether it indoor or outdoor they have something for everyone and they have 2k video doorbell cams as well. Reolink make's the camo 4K 4G LTE Wildlife Camera with 360° All-Around View. I wouldn't bother reporting him to the warden there was no offense on his part other then treapassing which he will deny. That is one issue with certain camera's as they aren't capable of face recognition over a distance unless you are willing to pay hundreds/thousands of dollars to cover diatances.

    Call animal control to pickup stray animals on your land and "you do not know who they belong to?". They will fine him (if it is not "Free Range" land or such), charge him for the pickup, charge him for the care and maybe some other fines/charges. He will gladly fix his fence after that.

    • @JCsBees

      The problem is the pastures he and his livestock enter are not close to our corral area. I've tried a few times to flush his Holstein cows that crossed the fence toward our corral and everytime I put pressure on them they run back to fence and jump to their side. So frustrating!! Years ago, his poor excuse for a bull jumped the fence and bred 2 of our cows. Another time, I went to check my cow/calf herd and found his whole herd (50 head) laying in another pasture of ours. It's been constant headaches with this family.

    Great video and what a camera. The Amish in our area are the same way, cut through people's property, left my neighbors gates open and his cattle got out, pictures on atrail camera. They was hunting on his land, field dressed a deer left a mess and 2 of their guns next to a tree. My neighbor grabbed both of them. They came to his house asking for them, boy they left in a hurry in their buggy, My neighbor was sick of them disrespecting his and other people's property. Great Video of the camera and I am going to check it out online!!

    I personally would put up notices with intent to sue. Write a letter of notice of liability with intent to sue. Take to the local process server, they then file that with the clerk of court. Now it's a legal document that will be served to him. State your terms of 5,10, or 25 grand per occurrence. If they come back you get paid. This would be a smearing of their family name on the public record! A judgment against them.

    So, in hindsight, an animal went to waste, and the ongoing problem between you and your neighbor continues. Only if he had asked for permission first, the outcome may have been different. Of course, you would have had to grant permission for him to look for the deer on your lease. But judging your hostility towards him (bear traps), I feel you may not have been so neighborly regardless.

    • @raymschmidt6032
      @raymschmidt6032 5 місяців тому +2

      If he isn't damaging anything, why not be a Christian neighbor, and not be so hostile.

    • @sidelinerbeekeeper
      @sidelinerbeekeeper 5 місяців тому +1

      @raymschmidt6032 I have 150 acres, and I'm not too thrilled about my neighbors hunting it either. They used to drive ATV and UTV on it and make ruts in the fields. I put them out a few years ago, and all that did was have them sneak around in the dark just like Jason's problem. So after a talk to my neighbors and a clear understanding of the rules on my land, they communicate with me their intentions, they hunt and use the land without damaging it. This agreement is far easier than fighting and calling cops on each other.

    • @JCsBees
      @JCsBees  5 місяців тому +5

      @raymschmidt6032 So just let them do as they please as long as there is no damage? His cows eating my grass causes damage does that count? That's my cows food. Amish are very good at letting the livestock chew the grass down to nothing. This is from constant grazing. I allow rest periods for my pasture so the grass gets nice and lush before I move my herd there to eat. So does it count he livestock is eating my livestocks food and I have to resort to other sources? This has happened umpteen times over the years.

    • @raymschmidt6032
      @raymschmidt6032 5 місяців тому

      @JCsBees you're comparing apples to oranges. This was just about him walking on looking for a deer. Now its about cows, trying to make yourself look good. I always liked your vids till this one. It just made you look like a jerk. And no im not saying you should let someone graze your grass down. But instead of just saying this man grazes his pasture down and yours, you keep saying the Amish. I think you have it in for the Amish, most of which are good farmers. Maybe this guy isnt' , but it's not because he's Amish. I've heard you say you are Christian, as am i, (not Amish) , so why in the world are you not being the part? You've got a big audience not seeing a good example of a Christian. Praying for ya brother. This isn't one of your better moments.

    I feel for you. We have trouble with our neighbors livestock not only coming on our property but also destroying our gardens and produce. We trying to be civil but after 3 years we had to call the Agricultural commotion. Luckily we have livestock fencing law. The owner of the livestock is responsible for fencing thier own livestock in and animals at-large can be traped and sold at auction with out the owners concent. We can also change the owner of the livestock with trespassing if their animals are cought on our land.We had to threaten to do this. But he finally moved his goat to a more secured pasture. So sad you have to force people to do the right thing.

    • @JCsBees

      It's completely unnecessary stress and no one wants more stress. A farm is hard enough to manage and be profitable, then you add in his livestock Grazing, damage, it cuts into profits. Being nice does nothing for some and it take going a different route sometimes. Glad to hear your issues have resolved for now.
      Fencing laws are very similar here. The issues is we use high tensile wire and the Amish livestock dont repect it. They destroy it and leave me with fence to fix. (My farm channel is Grazing Acres Farm)

Any idea if he shot the deer after dark (jack lighting)? Wonder if he even had a hunting Lic? What a waste for the dead deer, and the meat. Hopefully now that the neighbor knows you have video cameras out, he will not be a problem anymore for you! PIease keep us posted. I have 4 Blink Cameras in my apiary so I can keep an eye my hives and their activity, but also to see what else the cameras record. Back in July of last year for 9 consecutive days (&nights) I had a "visitor" and recorded a number of video clips. If the police ask for a description of the trespasser or poacher, what would you say??? If somebody refers to me as the black person I don’t get offended. It’s what it is.
