@MitchellM15 Yea an Amrep mini asl has come though a couple times looking at the marks on the carts anyway. This tipper works good but when they use the american carts on the comb lifter it rips the bib off since there not intended for that. This lifter has both Comb and American style lifters on it but most driver use the comb lifter all the time which is why the bin fell off the lifter, the bib was torn out if you look closely. The new trucks are all designed to never be in neutral to work :)
@TrashKid63 yea, Rehrig, SSI, Otto, Cascade, IPL, and several others have a "comb lift bib" on the front so they can be tipped by this style tipper. The semi auto are designed for american style tippers, this truck has both tippers but they almost always use the comb lifter portion of the tipper
Sweet, glad you could grab some footage. I'm slowly catching up on your videos, lol. Never would have thought you could use a comb tipper with FAs and American bins. Seems to work pretty well, except it's probably really hard on those Rehrigs, even when tipping on the side. Definitely seems to make it faster though, and distribute it through the hopper. Nice job!
@Binboy97 That bin is designed for an American lifter, but they use it on the comb liter so much that the front lip of it is torn, so when he tried to use it again the lip just bent out and the bin fell off so he picked it up from the corner instead
@crushandburn51 lol yea got a couple plastos and some ssi in the areas near by. No ottos in this alley though. You can get your rehrig collected by comb lifter if you really wanted too, they are using the comb lifter for almost every single cart even though they arent intended for that haha this tipper rips the bibs of the carts a lot and several plastos even had no rim on the front. so as you can see they turn em sideways and clamp them in the tipper any way they can lol
the FA rehrigs are designed for comb lifters. They have a comb lift bib on the front, identical to wheelie bins. The NB Rehrigs get the bib ripped off though because they arent intended for that, but the workers couldnt care less haha when the bib rips off, they tip them sideways. lol thanks
@KFCOrBust lol when this trucks down they send an asl down here actually... the carts have gripper marks on em, but very few. There are TONS of these manual routes, but noone lives near them! lol
If the FA carts work fine with the tippers, why did LA decide to buy the NB carts. I'm quite certain Rehrig still makes them (secretly ish lol) because I noticed Valley Vista bought a bunch of FAs recently.
lol i dont think rehrigs like the tipper haha who makes the tipper on this thing anyways? lol i love the rehrig that looked like it just jumped off the tipper haha and lol what it said on the cart at 1:24 good footage!
@3amrepmike3 Ah right I never noticed the combination set-up with the two 'hooking' spots below the comb... looks like the comb gets in the way a little though? Never in neutral to work... totally opposite to us, but awesome! :P
I played the game and it's real fun quick suggestion you guys should add a second game mode where you get to pick up bulky waste or a rear loader where you can pick up the bins like the Austin game
@japanascope Yea Im familiar with the way its done out there. That system wouldn't be very successful here though as we have 3 streams of waste so recycling rates would drop dramatically. As well as the inconvenience of having to take your garbage somewhere would make it tough for some residents. But it is a better system if all the elements allow for it to work out properly.
Definitely not ASL territory back there, but you could probably get away with an Amrep, could probably just squeeze through comfortably? Awesome fail at 1:39, then a couple of on-the-side lifts in the video - looks like that lifter can be a bitch if you haven't got the right angle to hook the bins. Just in time at 2:15 too, hate when the lifters scrape on the ground. Still reckon it's neat how the RL packers over there can be operated in gear... only in neutral here in Oz :/ Nice work!!!
Pretty much every truck breaks Rehrigs. They're a terrible product. Amrep is quality truck that many companies buy. They buy Rehrig because it's cheap, and no big deal if it breaks, just call the city and they'll bring a new one
Bro I used to watch this all the time in 2013

@legodude24652 thanks. Ill be back for more some time this summer, and hopefully get there earlier next time to film more
I like the gloves the bin man is wearing and that GREEN BIN was very full
Exelent job! Great to see one of these on route!

@Trashman242 everything is RL here, and its easier to tip everything on the comb lifter since there is next to no lining up of the carts needed
@xUNKNOWNxAC94 yes at least 4 people have pointed that out now and I also saw it in person while filming
Finally an LA RL lol. Great footage!
@KFCOrBust lol when this trucks down they send an asl down here actually... the carts have gripper marks on em, but very few. There are TONS of these manual routes, but noone lives near them! lol
@garbageboy2009 Yea, many places around here just recently got the roll out.
If the FA carts work fine with the tippers, why did LA decide to buy the NB carts. I'm quite certain Rehrig still makes them (secretly ish lol) because I noticed Valley Vista bought a bunch of FAs recently.

Check out the new "Garbage Truck: Los Angeles, CA!” App for the iPhone, iPad, & iPod Touch!
I played the game and it's real fun quick suggestion you guys should add a second game mode where you get to pick up bulky waste or a rear loader where you can pick up the bins like the Austin game
Please please please make more like this
@CurottoCanMaster82 thanks
Nice job. lol I can never tell if these are Vipers or Cobras since they both look almost identical.

Great vid! where in LA is this?
@WasteManTony very nice! awesome crew arent they?
I REALLY ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE COLOUR OF THE GARBAGE TRUCK
Definitely not ASL territory back there, but you could probably get away with an Amrep, could probably just squeeze through comfortably? @internationalRLfan thanks
I filmed this truck today with the same crew, as well as 3 other RLs and 2 minis
wow, that tipper doesn't look rehrig friendly, after that fall that can took! but who cares they are rehrigs. nice video
@JaccobDalton LOL I think it said Fuck R2G
@RainbowDisposal lol thanks, I dont know much about RL models so I have noooo clue haha
@garbagekid1 LOL. No clue on who makes the tipper
I still feel bad for this poor plants being taken away 2:40 and compacted. I would have rescued them.
Coustomers still throw trash in the greenwaste
@1:24 its says "fuck" on the green trash bin.
You got
preach
2:19? not so fully automated any more!
Pretty much every truck breaks Rehrigs. They're a terrible product. Amrep is quality truck that many companies buy. They buy Rehrig because it's cheap, and no big deal if it breaks, just call the city and they'll bring a new one
1:40 fail xd
Hahah "Fuck B2G" I know who B2G is....
OH MY GOODNESS DON'T PUT THE F WORD ON THE GREEN BIN
It's pretty normal for a trash can to get vandalized in areas like that especially public bins and other trash cans in crowded areas
H
One the guys doesn't do shit but record
jmjosemora16 actually Mike has a life and does more then does his hobby. You don't have a life and you go bully people for no reason.
I really don't like the mask that the bin man is werering
Quit judging him it's getting old😡
