As a United fan I must admit it’s a weird one because we have had such a bad season in the League. However, Arteta has done an excellent job, but he has to try and win something next season with the great squad he has built.

As a Man Utd fan, these are my takeaway
1) Kudos to White Yardie and TY for acknowledging our FA cup achievement.
2) In the end everyone is happy depends how u see it, Man Utd fans are happy with the FA cup, Arsenal fans are happy with the process.
3) I agreed that Arsenal have a better future to look forward to.
I agree with you but the future is often not known, better is only subject to how you feel at that particular time. The truth is at this moment in time at the end of it all Man U fans feel better than Arsenal Fans simply because despite all the ups and downs in the season the end was great and it was the last game. For Arsenal you probably enjoyed the season better than Man U fans but the end was not enjoyable for arsenals fans because in the end there was nothing other than qualifying for Champions league.

EASY!!Finish 10th and win the 🏆 because it’s a trophy. The metric that determines a clubs size is the number of trophies won. Finishing 2nd is 1st loser, winning the cup is silverware that counts towards the clubs success. So the fan saying finishing 2nd would rather have zero trophies in 100 years vs 100 trophies. Coupled with the fact winning the FA cup is a good platform to go on and win the CL, because with 100 attempts at the EL will most likely end in several EL victories which would mean CL qualification. Winning the EL is a good foundation to build upon in winning a CL so in 100 years you can expect between 110-120 trophies whilst finishing 2nd will get you nothing especially if Arteta is the manager.

I think the most important thing is to measure our success by our standards. In my biased opinion, we have had a better season than United. Winning the FA cup would not have counted as success for us in the manner it is for United. We needed the Premier League and actualization. United needed some silverware and redemption. Levels!

Speaking as a neutral here. I watched the FA Cup final with three of my mates, two of which are United fans, and one is an Arsenal fan. After they won the cup my United mates where so happy you would have never guessed they finished 8th. My friend who's an Arsenal fan was fuming and couldn't believe United won another trophy before Arsenal.
What I took away from this experience was this:
If you offer me a choice between 2nd place and 8th place + FA Cup, I would choose second place. However, as an experience in the moment, finishing a disappointing season with a major trophy over a great season with no trophy (and no the irony is not lost on me) is a better feeling overall.
Arsenal had the better season, but United fans are the happier bunch.

A succesful season to me is one you'd like to repeat the season after.
I don't think there's one Man U fan out there who ever wants another season like the one we just had.
United losing to Spurs, Arsenal (twice), Brighton, Crystal Palace (twice), City (twice), Newcastle, Bournemouth, Forest, West Ham, Fulham and Chelsea = better season. Okaaayy...
Arsenal got Champions League for next season at least. You have to think that it’s difficult to win trophies in England. You have 6 teams that can do it. The point is not whether they won a trophy, but if they are playing well and stable and achieving high place in the table. Trophies will come, it took time to bring stability to Arsenal. Considering it’s been 2 years with Arsenal playing at high level, I’d say if next season no silverware is achieved then you should worry. Liverpool did not win a trophy every year with Klopp. I’m not an Arsenal fan just fan of premier league in general.
Robbie,for me,Utd had a decent season winning the F.A Cup-2024...This is what football is about;winning trophies..Utd are going through transition..They've qualified for the Europa Cup too..Football don't remember those teams who finish runners-up...Yes,we've had a good season but it was trophyless..Utd salvaged their season..
Those years that Robbie said Arsenal were bad when we won the FA Cups we were 4th, 3rd, and 2nd respectively. Arsenal will keep Arteta as long as we make the Champions League.
Manchester United had a bad season. They played 38 games to come eighth in the league and played poorly. Played six games to win a trophy from which they played lower division teams and struggled. Their own fans rejected them and wanted their manager out. Arsenal had a good season.

Big teams don't care about the FA Cup unless they pair it with a league for a double or treble. Small clubs care about it when it's the only trophy they can win.

Don't forget the Community Shield is a trophy, not a major trophy but a trophy and Arsenal won that and finished 2nd in the league.

The Community Shield is not a proper tournament, unlike the Cara Cup or FA Cup. The Community is used to be called the Charity Shield and it is organized for the purpose of raising money for charities.
If it is organized for the purpose to determine the real Champion of England, in other words, is the FA cup winner or EPL winner the real champion, then it has some meaning. Now in seasons where a team won the FA cup and EPL double, they should be given the CS straightaway. But that is not the case. And so it is really a charity shield, not a trophy.

What's funny is each season is counted different so if you look at it the end of the 2024 season united did better than arsenal because they have something to show for the season but arsenal don't. Arsenal fans keep saying they finished 2nd as if its guaranted that the next season you'll even finish close to 2nd or even achieve anything. That's the reason why winning is way more better than title challenge that you might never get. And like you pointed out chelsea winning the champ league even in a bad season still keeps them believing rather than a team thar has always been close to but never won it

United fan here. It depends which way you look at it, United had a better season in terms of writing their name in the history books once again, Arsenal didn't. In years to come people don't remember who finished second. History remembers winners. That being said, I'd still sooner be in Arsenal's position by being able to enjoy them week in week out.
Man city looked incredibly tired in the FA cup final and Man United have been incredibly bad this season.

Not a fan of either but I always find this debate odd. Both sets of supporters will back their teams season and if the roles were reversed they would still back their team because of confirmation bias. Arsenal fans are happy with where their team is at and United fans are happy with their day of glory. 🤷♂️

At the beginning of the season, we enter four competitions one is the Premier League one is the carabao cup one is the FA Cup and one is the Champions League we finish second in the league so we don’t win the competition. We didn’t win any cups because we got kicked out of those competitions, Manchester United cup won the FA Cup they had a better season than Arsenal
We don't need to win anything but the Epl and champion league as a bonus, winner FA cup and carabo should be secondary as far as I'm concerned.

I’m a united fan but I believe Arsenal had a better season than us due to our league position but I do feel if we finished 10 points behind Arsenal, we’d have a better season and I do believe Liverpool and Arsenal have had the same level of season with liverpools carabao cup but Arsenal being 7 points clear of them. If Liverpool had won the fa cup instead of the carabao , I would have said Liverpool.
Liverpool topped the league longest period this season, plus liverpool knocked Arsenal out of the cup at the Emirates and won a trophy, and had a major injuries, playing down liverpools season because they fell off after 33 games in the league is dishonest

I'm a United supporter and often watch your live posts. Arsenal had the better season because next season you will be playing in the Champions League and we won't. Had we finished 4th I'd have said United had a better season because we won the FA Cup. But Arsenal had a better season and played the better football throughout. 😀
