I know, im way too late to comment on this one but corrections, critics and suggestions that comes from CREDIBLE reactors like YOU are totaly REASONABLE and LEGIT. Its already obvious back then that these kids were good and with extreme potential *but* IMPROVEMENTS were needed and further REFINEMENT. For those who react in objection and hate, i find them incompetent (unreliable) in denial and shallow.
There must be a Lot of Filipino female singers you don’t know. There is Bituin escalate, there is Regine Velasquez. Morissette didn’t even reach the finals of a national singing competition, She is excellent singer. But there are singers better than her, If you watch ASAP it’s filled with so many great female singers.
Maybe you should listen to a female singer from S.Korea. Korea called So Hyang. Dimash is known as the king of Asia when it comes to singing & so hyang is often referred to as his queen. If you want a nice gentle introduction to her pls listen to her rendition of 'Bridge over troubled water' on immortal songs.i too love Morissette but in my opinion So Hyang is the more gifted,although they are very different singers & it is a matter of personal choice, unless you are from the Philippines where they seem to totally ignore so hyang talent or I have heard people slate her which is really strange as she is the nicest,most humble,& extremely talented human being,maybe a bit of intercountry jealousy!! It is possible to accept there there can be more than 1 female vocal genius in the world
did you do reaction for KZ Tandingan?...not a belter due to a polyp but super talented...the Philippines sent her as the country's representative to participate in ' the singer' in china in which dimash participated the year before.
Aside from Morissette I recommend you other two females singer who are very talented singer they are kz and Elaine Duran then you judge if they can't equal mori by talent in singing but for me there are loads of good singers in the Philippines and the above name mentioned are just few of them..
