My birth dad who I met last year’s name is Steve and my birth mom’s name is Sarah. My birth mom was also 19. I literally want to vomit. I could NEVER imagine. The only relationship I have with my biological family is a friendship. Thank goodness they agree not to have children.
As someone who was a victim of sexual abuse from a father figure I think this is wrong from the perspective of any children around the relationship. It gives the message that once children reach 16 or are no longer minors it is a matter of choice (and adult consent )whether or not to have incestuous relationships. I found it very upsetting.

So let me get this straight. She tries to find her birth father and after talking to the man who is the likely candidate, she develops a romantic attraction…and so does the man. Any decent person would have gotten a DNA test. Later in the video I see that a test was obtained in a serendipitous manner and it was in fact positive, yet they maintain and justify their incest. There was a case in England when a man fell hopelessly in love with his long lost sister. His sister did not have the same feelings as he did, which was fortunate. He was married at the time and between the wife and the sister they helped him back to nurture normal feelings for his sister.
If this happens to anyone they really should seek help and not give into their feelings just as people should fight the feelings if they find themselves falling in love with a married person.

It's a process of deep brain confusion that makes them feel immense emotional and sexual attraction instead of normal familial bonding.
It doesn't happen in all cases but it does happen.
It’s weird, isn’t it? I knew right away, before it was disclosed, that she had been adopted. Because for some weird reason, when female adoptees find their birth fathers, this sometimes happens. That rush of emotions gets confused into an adult type of relationship love.

This actually happens quite alot. I had a friend who got married and her husband found his birth mother and they started a sexual relationship with her. When he told my friend what had happened she felt physically sick and sought out some kind of counselling but she couldn't get past it. Can you imagine being with your father it's a vile thought.

What is right or wrong? My own view is they are disillusioned and misguided, she might have had father issues and being adopted can be a difficult experience, but this guy is messed up. This woman just wants to be loved and feel accepted by her father after feeling maybe for years alone and rejected being adopted, that I understand but this is something that was supposed to be beautiful and they made it perverted. I don't know if any father who would do such a thing only if there is something mentally wrong, don't think this is normal or should be normal, that is my view. Amazing how people blame any misdeeds humans commit on a non-existent evil deity. It’s a cop-out , a way of excusing people’s bad actions and behaviour. Humans don’t need a devil to take the blame. We are unfortunately capable of being far more evil than anyone or anything else. Just look at human history. Killings, torture, wars, unspeakable cruelty towards others. You name it, we’ve done it. No other species on this planet takes such sheer pleasure in killing its own kind than humans. Just look what’s happening in the Ukraine now or what happened to millions of people in the German gas chambers during WWII.
Incest is wrong, no matter how you look at it. But it’s extra tragic when it affects people who had no prior knowledge of their relationship when they first met. In this particular case though, I think whoever reported it to the authorities is in the wrong.
This is clearly not a case of child/adult but of two middle aged adults with no kids of their own, and obviously with no plans to have any. Leaving well enough alone may well have been the kindest thing to do than upsetting a whole family.
The main reason for laws against such close family ties is to prevent inbreeding and all the ills that follow such inbreeding. In earlier times no one understood the biological reasons, just that it was a subject forbidden by religious teachings, and tabu in many cultures for millennia and to such an extent that most people recoil in disgust at the mere thought of it.

This came up for me- I watched some, because it was misleading about forbidden love- until it was revealed that they are father and daughter. Not something I would look for. That being said, not an okay relationship. Definitely some confusion around the love aspect. Attracted because they share DNA- but, you have to be intelligent about this. I can remember my friend's husband being devastatingly attracted me to me. I was to some extent- it definitely was attraction. However!!! He was married to my friend, so NO.
