  • Hi everyone and welcome to The Bold Hairspring!
    After my Omega vs Corgeut video I couldn't resist and did the same but this time with my Tudor and a different Corgeut of course! It's just interesting to see both watches next to each other and that's the main point of the video.
    Enjoy watching it and let me know what you think in the comments section below!

    It's seems I forgot to discuss the seagull/movement options. I'd suggest you go for the seagull as it has hacking, automatic winding is bidirectional and it's cheaper. Plus, it performs well! Any questions you have post them below and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks for watching!

      I'm a big fan of the Blackbay and hope to one day be able to afford the real thing. As a result I've had the Corgeut in my basket for ages and have been meaning to get one on the channel for some time now. However I have noticed in a fair few other reviews complaints about dial miss-alignment has this been the case with yours?

    Interesting comparison here! I own a Corgeut and a couple of Pagani Design and obviously they are not the real thing, but they deliver a lot of value in comparison with the price. Sometimes they also have an incredibly accurate movement. For example the best I own is plus 2 seconds a day and this is pretty stunning for less than 100€.

  • @mtbbiker6401
    @mtbbiker6401 Місяць тому +1

    I just purchased the Corgeut with the NH35 movement. It's 14mm thick. I choose the black bezel with silver hands and white printing on the dial. So basically it replicates the newest 7941A1 Monochrome version but no rivets on the bracelet! So far I'm very impressed with the quality of this watch for $55 USD. The NH35 is running 0 ms beat error and only +10 seconds per day dial up on timegrapher. I may try to regulate.

    • @TheBoldHairspring
      @TheBoldHairspring  Місяць тому +1

      Great deal, and the accuracy is not bad at all. Give it some time before trying to regulate it. It may improve by itself. Also, keep in mind that nh35 movements are very power reserve sensitive. When the power reserve decreases, the movement slows down, and it will most likely compensate for the seconds that were gained when it was fully wound.

      @@TheBoldHairspring Interesting. Thanks for the info. The dial lume is decent but the hands and bezel pip are terrible on my watch. I will upgrade the hands to C3 snowflake for fun. spring-loaded ball bearings for the clasp is superior than ceramic for robustness. it's the level of machining - the tolerances that give you the 'click' you desire.
    if, however reduction in 'wear' from repeatedly opening and closing the clasp 100,000's of times in a lifetime is a personal hobby, one might consider the ceramic ball-bearings...
    Tudor, it appears just went a bit over-board in terms of 'fanciness-by-design'...as a manufacturer you can specify the hardness of the stainless steel...and it's more than enough for a lifetime of wear...
    the bright red bezel on the cheap watch looks better. you don't wear red, if your intention is not to stand out.

Being cheap is completely irrelevant. Besides, its a stainless steel sports watch, not a luxury piece. I promise, it doesnt cost above $400 to make a tudor. Thats counting labor costs too.
