I live in a small rural town of about 400 so I find some of those big ships somewhat intimidating. This ship looks like something I could really enjoy.

Considering all the bad press MSC has received, do you think they are trying to re-invent themself with this new and improved line? If so, good for them. This ship looks lovely.
If you can, check out an accessible suite. They have the most amazing automatic door onto the veranda I have ever seen.
Also the best bathrooms although there is always lack of storage here on accessible suites. This very inconvenient for the guest traveling with the passenger who needs this type of suite.

Well I am just gonna declare the explora cruise is a foodie cruise. Tempted to fly long distance for this which we don't really do for cruising. Europe and USA is really far from Singapore. Ben and David would know this.

What a contrast, to go from the grubby old Epic to such a beautiful new ship! I’ve never really been interested in the MSC big ships but this looks like a great way to cruise. I’m eager to see what the all-suite cabins look like. Thanks for bringing us along!

I book MSC from the UK all the time and use a travel agents called ‘now let’s travel’
I am so pleased you cruised with Explora Journeys. I booked a Greece cruise next year with Explora and was hesitant to do so given it is owned by MSC (and I would never ever go on an MSC cruise). It looks though that you really enjoyed your time with Explora so now I am feeling good about my booking. Looking forward to seeing the cabin you had in the next video.

We caught a normal MSC cruise from Venice earlier in the year and did exactly the same thing to board the ship.
What about the smoking. Is it disgusting.

To be fair, on my last MSC cruise the food in the buffet and dining room had improved dramatically from my previous cruise. I think they finally listened to the complaints.
So no announcements in several different European languages which is typical of MSC? LOL.

The train fare is less then an air flight for one from Michigan To Seattle. Not bad honestly.

I’m glad you’re highlighting all the included things (really, everything).
BUT….
You’re not mentioning that the all inclusive Explora Journeys line does NOT include any excursions. Those are a little pricey. At least it’s your choice whether or not to go on an excursion, and then not have to pay for them if that’s not your thing. As opposed to a true all inclusive, where you’re paying for excursions even if you don’t go on any b

Checks cost of these cruises. In theory you get what you pay for I guess.
The but think what is included argument never works out for me as these things charge 3x as much or more I just can't find enough to add on to cover it.
I get the crew ratio which is nice but I rarely ask them to do anything!
So it's not for me. Ship does look nice though and I like the pool area.

I would have liked to have a 1/10th of this treatment and quality on the QM2. Was so disappointed in that cruise. Time to look into the Explora.
Geez - I just returned from a one week cruise to Croatia on Silversea (Silver Moon) Couldn’t hold a candle to this!!!! Ugh! Never again!
My first ever cruise last Nov / Dec in Caribbean with this ship. Rebooked for Explora 2 the day we got back. When you add in all get it’s superb quality and value
Been super intrigued by Explora as a semi-frequent MSC cruiser and it looks beyond outstanding, far better than many of their competitors! I'll be booking soon! Fantastic 50 + minutes, thank you gents! Just stay away from fake mylks, that stuff is processed garbage. ;)

Curious about travel with family. We have a 16 year old teen. He is a seasoned traveler. Any other mature teens on board? He’s doesn’t need a kids club but I want him to feel good about his age verses other passenger ages. This ship looks perfect for us!

Already have the Insta 360 X3, not going to upgrade, but as you say, you can get some great and unusual shots and the quality is fantastic.
Interesting! I just checked the prices and Explora is about the double price of a normal MSC Balcony cruise. The Yacht Club is about three times the price now. So why should anyone go YachtClub again when get this great ship cheaper? 🤷♂️

If trains like that existed near me in America, I'd never fly.
Only trains we have is the Metro North line into NYC. It's two hours of absolute hell. Plastic seats, smells like a sewer, no food, no drinks.

Huh. I was very much on your side during the kerfuffle before, but you did say you’d never get on any MSC cruise again and you claimed you’d turned down their offer of a free cruise at a later date. I’m now sceptical whether that was true.

Hi Ben and David. Wow, very interesting getting to the ship. The train looked very comfortable and boarding Explorer. That" buffet" after boarding looked amazing! Dinner at the Asian restaurant also looked amazing. I have to book this ship if for nothing else, the food. 😊. That is an amazing price for all you get. Can't wait till next week to see the rest. . What a beautiful ship! I do like the contemporary décor - very Italian. I should say that your video drove me to the Explora website, and it looks very, very tempting. I also think I put on a few pounds just listening to your description of the food.
So glad you are cruising on Explora1. We’re going in January to San Juan and then returning after a month in PR on Explora1 back to Florida. Different ports on each leg. Soooo excited.
Ok, you guys stunned me with this one. If I ever got the chance to take a cruise on a major cruise line MSC was right out. Now I'm rethinking it. I love the idea that everything on ship is included (with the one restaurant exception). I love the idea of the smaller ship too as the megaships do not interest me at all. I'm all about relaxing when I go on vacation & don't need or want all the rides, etc. The problem I see now is if I can get over the idea of the long flight from the U.S. to Europe. I know, a me problem. 😉 Unfortunately with leg & back pain it is a serious consideration for me. Loved your take on this ship!
