I think the reason 2009 is pink is because 2009 was Barbie's 50th anniversary and pink is her signature color. Another one that is pretty and I don't care that it doesn't look holiday. A good thing about these ones is that you can display them all year long.
“As you can see, I’m not really a big fan of Holiday Barbies” you say echoing what I’ve been thinking about you throughout this video. 😂🤣
The burgundy one is so pretty especially the African American one wouldn't mind having her. I really don't care that she doesn't scream Christmas I much rather it be pretty and well made then look holiday and be ugly
2012 looks like the “good” towels you put out only when guests are coming over. LOL
Holiday can mean New Years too and some are beautiful gowns for New Years Eve. They made a specific Bratz doll for New Years so why can't Barbie, not every doll needs to be Christmas themed. As a life long Barbie collector I always thought when they stated Holiday doll it could be either Holiday.
You make a valid point, and I honestly didn't even think about New Year's. I think in my head New Year's is like a different "category" of holiday so it didn't cross my mind 😅
I used to have the 1996 Holiday Barbie when I was a kid and I think she's still one of my favorites to this day honestly. 💖
The 2005 doll looks like she's supposed to be a Halloween doll; all she needs is one of Barbie's dozens of witch hats. 😂
I honestly really vibe with the 2019 doll but I agree with all your critiques.
I love some of the holiday Barbies I love your channel
I really love that you also rate if the dolls are even "Christmas" dolls. I saw so many doll youtubers giving dolls the top ranks because they're beautiful Barbies.
Yes they're...but are they HOLIDAY Barbies? If there is supposed holiday theme, I want a holiday theme
If there's one thing I specialize in for my rankings, it's very specific tiers lol so I'm glad you appreciated that
I told my husband the 1992 Barbie you showed looks like a chandelier and you literally said it right after I did 😂😂😂😂
She’s my favorite and her skirt is very much a “Silverbell” which is a Holiday song. I do agree about the top.
Lol.....I'm loving how you ranked these, and what's great is I agree with your criticism.
I loved the dolls, but I've never been a fan of big traditional ball gowns with puffy sleeves. Some did impressed me, but most were YUCK!
I think you were kind in your ranking.
No matter what, this was such a fun amusing review.
Thanks so much!
2004 has a black dress which clearly means she is my number 1 lmao.
2006 is really unique. Dig her for sure.
Wow the latest ones have fallen off lol
The new ones are so rough...like the concepts aren't always terrible but the quality is so lackluster
I had 95 and 96 as a kid and I freaking loved them
I found this video very fun and enjoyed it so much, so thank you and Merry Christmas and have a great New Year.
That blue one with the silver star plastic on the top is giving Princess Charm School/Princess Power vibes and that is NOT a compliment 😂 That fabric is gorgeous though
The 2002 is special since that was the year I was born
I love the 2001-2004 era of Holiday Barbies. They really SERVED lewkssss💅
I hate the color red, so a lot of the holiday Barbies aren’t really my favorite, but some of the dresses are so good 🥺🥺🥺
Happy holiday/yule 😊 I adore you to death 💗 thank you for being a wonderful human being
Happy Yule!! I shed a tear because of this comment, thank you for being so kind ♥
I wish the holiday Barbies were more holiday themed. The recent dolls are just Barbie in a red dress…I’m over it
I agree! I think even though I don't always personally like the designs, I prefer holiday Barbies to be really gaudy and over the top. Like if you're gonna go for it, GO for it!
I have the 2022 doll (red hair variant) and I actually really love her. She's my only holiday Barbie so far. I understand she's not detailed and that's something that could bother me in some other designs, but I think (specifically the variant I have) is very elegant. It looks underwhelming on most of the rest of the dolls, but then again there's a reason I bought the one I did lol. Plus, she was the first Holiday Barbie that came out after I started paying attention to them, and when I was familiarizing myself with the lineup up til that point, I remember thinking that a poinsettia dress with petals as the skirt would be a fun dress, and then they released that doll a couple months later. So it felt special to me ♥ I think the reason why it doesn't feel cheap to me is the complete absence of chunky/gross plastic accessories, which is one of modern Barbie's greatest sins to me. Like, elegant simplicity is much more appealing to me than those disgusting plastic bodices and belts that we've gotten recently. If they're going to spend less money making these collector dolls, then I much prefer them to go the minimalist route. The layering and cutting of her dress' fabric (i.e. the asymmetrical ribbon at the top and layered petals on the skirt) is varied enough to feel dynamic and interesting to me. Looking at her, I don't see any areas that look lacking/needing improvements that I can identify. So, I do think she's genuinely beautiful, and she's one of the only modern Holiday Barbies I've felt that way about.
You dieing over 1992 holiday barbie is priceless ❤❤❤
I think it's funny the Holiday Barbies that you talk about that don't look like Holiday Barbies are my favorites because I can display them year-round, hahaha
Your video was great and I love seeing you on screen but it was fine with the screen caps on it so please don’t be worried about that! After seeing all the holiday Barbies, I’m not sure I’m the biggest fan of holiday Barbies either 😅
I'm glad it didn't take away too much! But yeah, the holiday Barbie is a cool concept, but I don't personally find the execution great most of the time
I'm just now finding this, and guess i wasn't following you when it came out; or I don't remember seeing it :) Interesting how we all have such different taste in dolls. There were quite a few that I like, they you do not. But that's what makes the world go round; our differences :)
I personally love the pink dolls except for the pink/black one but I agree they don't look holiday
The '95 dress almost looks like it's supposed to be reversible and it's ridiculous
I actually have the 2004 Holiday Barbie and let me tell you...her legs actually stain from the skirt🫢
I'm not a barbie person in the slightest I don't follow barbie releases so I'm coming objectively from design, color, and christmassy. Yes the quality declined but I expect that with the "modern" look of things because ultimately modern just means simpler. So I won't knock the modern ones too hard.
Holiyay: 1995, 1996, 1997, 1999, 2012, 2019 (what can I say I like candy canes)
Almost: 1989, 1994, 2002 (i rlly like this one but cuz its not xmassy enough I can't put it in holiyay), 2006, 2010, 2022
Good but not for me: 1988, 1992, 2000, 2011, 2015
Mid: 1991, 1993, 2001, 2007, 2009, 2013, 2014, 2021
Not A Holiday Doll: 1990, 1998, 2004, 2008, 2017
Chip Bag: 2003, 2005 (the face seals her fate), 2016, 2018, 2020
Hard disagree with much of your placements, but everybody has their own taste :) I personally like big gowns, glamour and all that.
I kept hearing "shit bag" whenever you said "chip bag," which is honestly a good description for some of these dolls too 😂
That's amazing omg
