It is possible to finish first mission in 1 second, at least at some versions. This is glitch, of course, but at start you already have 1000 credits. You can enter MENTAT menu, return to game, and game will make winning condition check
I played this game so much. It was definitely a mix of pleasure and pain. The pathfinding seemed to always have a tendency to make the units take the longest route or just go into the desert and be destroyed by worms :) This is probably the game I yelled at my screen at the most. Nice to see a video of it though.
Pathing in this game is actually not that big of a problem, not because it was designed well, but because there aren't many terrain obstacles. Units do sometimes get stuck in buildings though. For example, pathing in Warcraft 1 is much more of an issue.

How are you using keyboard shortcuts? I didn't even know that was in the game beyond A for attack and M for move.
Every action is mapped for each unit. Also B is to build a selected item. F-keys are for menus etc.
