- Die Hamburger sehen auf ein überaus erfolgreiches Jahrzehnt zurück. Impressionen Ende der 50er vom Hamburger Hafen, Rathaus, Landungsbrücken, Binnenalster, Jungfernstieg, Alsterpavillion, und der Außenalster.
Der Hamburger Hafen gehört zu den konkurrenzfähigsten der Welt. Ab den späten 1950er Jahren herrscht Vollbeschäftigung.
Hamburgs Politik war immer auf größtmögliche Freiheit ihres Handels und politische Unabhängigkeit ausgerichtet. Auch in der Nachkriegszeit ist Hamburg als Stadtstaat weitgehend selbständig und bietet Handel und Industrie mit dem größten deutschen Seehafen gute Voraussetzungen. Durch das Anwerbeabkommen mit südeuropäischen Staaten kommen Tausende von Gastarbeitern in die Bundesrepublik und tragen zum Wirtschaftsaufbau bei. Max Brauer wird 1957 erneut Bürgermeister.

Und ganze Stadteile für das Auto abgerissen und neue, moderne Viertel wie City Nord geschaffen wurden. Alles für das Auto. Ach, waren das schöne Zeiten.

These cities were the main armaments centers and transport hubs in the German Reich.
Of course, these cities were legitimate targets.
In the British cities of Canterbury and Bath, destroyed by the German Air Force in 1942, there was no military and no industry.
They didn't even have air defense.

390 locations produced everything from Panzer IV parts to hand grenades that the lander of the world needs.
It was also a garrison town.
On top of that, THE transport hub for the replenishment of the spring offensive, which was raging a few 100 km further east (and had the dimensions of Kursk times three).
We know today that the war was lost there. Word hadn't got around until the German leadership.
At the latest with the total war effort, there was no factory and no backyard workshop that did not produce anything important for the war.
A city is always a hub. There is no such thing as "militarily meaningless" for railway lines, communication, logistics, energy supply!
And if you are wondering how that comes about? One of them was standing in front and scratched "Do you want total war?"

I love Hamburg I lived there in 1977 until 1988 and I had wonderful time so much things to do the Alster madhouse the great discotek of der Reeperbahn and many other things I miss Hamburg.

Sehr interessante Filmaufnahmen! Es ist erstaunlich, die friedliche Stadt nach all dem schrecklichen Tod und der Zerstörung durch die Bombenangriffe von 1943 zu sehen. Ein Jahr nach der Entstehung dieses Films - im August 1960 - kamen die Beatles aus Liverpool, England, um auf der Reeperbahn Rock’n’Roll zu spielen. Heute ist Hamburg weltweit mehr für die Beatles bekannt als für alles andere!

i was in the germany in the berlin in the munich and in the hamburg special in the hamburg between 14-18 july 2019 i was sleepd in the hamburg in the hotel alster in the sant george i was in ghe reaperbahn street it is was very fun i was have a fun in there i will never forget thiz time i will coms back to there

Da ist wohl ein Fehler passiert: Bei 0:14 sieht man die U-Bahn durchs Bild fahren. Dabei handelt es sich um den Triebwagen DT2, nur wurde diese Reihe erst 1962 in Betrieb genommen.
I would love to know this city, it sounds so familiar to me, I don't know why. Ich würde gern diese Stadt kennenzulernen. Es kommt mir sehr bekannt vor, obwohl weiss ich nicht warum.

Umso länger ich mir deutsche städte aus den 50iger 40iger 30iger jahren anschaue umso mehr errinnert mich das stadtbild an sauberkeit und entspannten sozialen verhalten an die heutige Schweiz,verstehe nicht wieso dieser stabiler wohlstand in Deutschland bis heute angehalten hat.Mit dem euro, abfliessen von Geldern und einer Fremdbestimmung hat das aber sicherlich nichts zutun.
Sag doch einfach, dass Du Dir das Vierte Reich wünscht.

Jewish fables. After the war Jews took control of Germany (legislation, economy through Jewish banks, etc.). Their attitude of vengeance against the German people finished up the country and drove millions to seek their destiny in foreign enemy countries like the USA. Gings jetzt darum , die Botschaft unterzubringen , daß die Gastarbeiter aus Südeuropa in Deutschland wesentlich zum Wohlstand beigetragen haben ? Das trifft wohl eher auf die Länder zu , aus denen diese Gastarbeiter kamen. Vollbeschäftigung war erreicht, mehr Wohlstand brauchte es nicht. Weiteres Wachstum diente ab diesem Zeitpunkt dem Export des Wohlstandes , aber nicht in erster Linie für den in Deutschland.

Ich glaube ab 1962 wurde sie gebaut, aber bedenke das unsere neue dt4 auch schon jahre vorher testgefahren ist^^
Aber ja das die in diesem video zu sehen ist wundert mich auch.
@@Bergwacht Der DT4 ist nicht "schon Jahre vorher testgefahren" worden. Vorgestellt wurde er 1988 auf der IVA. Es gab keine Prototypen, die Serie ging direkt in den Fahrgastbetrieb.

Sorry but this is just wrong. Mostly germans (women( with some financial help of the allies rebuilt the country from the ashes. the first laborers came in the 60s, where germany already stood again and had a booming economy. Since many jobs couldnt get filled then by germans (espacially low sector budget) they needed immigration. Nothing against immigration because we are all humans and it doesnt matter where u come from, just 'correcting' your words
And those laborers were VERY GLAD to find work in Germany. Also Germany, without a doubt, would have accomplished its economic "miracle" even without all those laborers, they would have just had to work more overtime, but Germans would have achieved it. When as a reporter for a large metro news paper in 1995 I attended a 50-year anniversary of a "victory" celebration of American WWII pilots in New Orleans, I received countless comments from former pilots how impressed they were when Americans marched into Germany and saw how the women had started to rebuild the ruins.

Guessing that there's still a lot of war damage behind these new building....still, German know how + the Marshall Plan produced a miracle.
Sorry, but the Marshall Plan is overrated. First: It was only $ 1.4 billion for Germany. Second: It was not a gift, just a loan that had to be repaid. Third: It wasn't money, it was just $ 1.4 billion worth of goods, mostly agricultural products. With over 200 cities completely destroyed, this aid would not even have been enough to rebuild a single city or to get the economy going again. The Marshall Plan has been able to help somewhat to alleviate the hardship in the hunger years. Much more important than the Marshall Plan was the currency reform and the possibility that foreign countries, especially the United States, could profitably reinvest in the German economy. All other problems eleminated the Germans themselves with their will that everything should be better as quickly as possible. The US indeed advertising of Marshallplan was ingenious, so many people still believe today that only the Marshallplan saved us and brought prosperity, but it was primarily the Germans themselves who made the miracle. I was born in the late 1940s, and I still remember how brutally the Germans was worked in the 1950s to get out of the shit. We should still be grateful to those people today who lost their childhood and youth in the war and who had to clear away their ancestor's debris after the war, because they chose the wrong party in 1933.
It wasn't the Marhsall Plan that produced the miracle. It was the German people who did that, with a little bit of help through the Marshall Plan. Remember, the British , French and Italians too received help with the Marshall Plan, the British and French received an even higher amount than the Germans. Look it up. Easy to find.

But this total destruction also had an advantage because almost everything had to be rebuilt. No matter whether it was blast furnaces, steelworks, shipyards or the automotive industry.
