Yaay, Matt! I had bought my copies of The Beatles Rubber Soul to Let it Be from Barnes and Noble, Stereo mixes, back when there were so many of them that the section was overfilled! I'm glad that they are possibly due to shoot up in value, and that you're starting to fill in your Beatles collection gaps now, while they're still affordable 😊!!!
Since recording this video, I also picked up the Abbey Road stereo remaster (the 2012 one, not the Giles Martin remix). I think these remasters sound really good! But yeah, I do wonder if at some point they will become out of print like the monos.
I only have a few of the 2012 stereo remasters , Please Please Me , With The Beatles , Rubber Soul. My Sgt Pepper, White Album and Abbey Road reissues are the anniversary editions and they all sound great for the price 👍
Nice! Yeah I think remasters are decent for the money. You're not going to find anything better sounding for $25, that's for sure, not unless you get lucky on ebay or something.
@@MattHayesVinyl I would totally agree if someone was starting out as these are all pretty much original mixes bar the anniversary editions. Ebay can be lucky for e.g I picked up( in the post still) an original uk stereo white album for £20 not great shape but had 3 of the photos which are worth that alone so original pressings can be found but can get pricey for a copy worth listening to
Hey Matt, I found my 2009 remaster White album on ebay a couple of years ago. I think it was a store return. It had stickers all over it and said in the description it had a poster, and that was about it. But it was ten bucks! So I bought it. It was unplayed, had the poster and all four pictures, and the stickers peeled right off. So i got a NM White Album for about 14 bucks all in. That being said, I only have 3 or 4 of the other 2009 remasters. I did grab The mono Box however, and if the price gets too much more stupid I may sell it because I don't really want to be playing $200.00 albums. Take care...
I wish I had picked up the mono (and indeed the stereo) box set when it was first released! It goes for crazy money now. I was fortunate with picking up half a dozen of the mono remasters (PPM, AHDN, BFS, Help!, RS and Revolver) a few years ago when they were still in print. They go for more than $100 each now which seems insane to me. You got a good deal on The White Album! I'd like the mono remaster too but don't want to drop the roughly $120-140 they seem to be selling for now.
Have former Yugoslavia stereo "Please,Please me," " Beatles for Sale," " Sgt.Peppers," on black label and red letters written" Parlophone," from 1976-1985."White Album," Canadian 1986.German pressings "Help," "Revolver,""Abbey Road,"1985. I' m missing "Rubber Soul," on vinyl and "Magical Mistery Tour," also got "Abbey Road," and " Let it be," 1969-1970. originals. Don' t like remasters,those are pouring from empty bottle in to a barrel with hole at bottom,simplefied money pick a pocket,nothing new just title " Remastered."
I don't tend to listen to the remasters. I am just buying them for collecting purposes really. I'd prefer an original, or at least an earlier, analog copy any day of the week. Thanks for watching!

Hey Matt, I always heard these didn't sound that good. I have all the mono remasters except for Help! and your right , they are pretty pricey!
