Still crazy after all these years. Monty is as innovative and enthusiastic about windsurfing as forty years ago. I hate to admit it but windsurfing sails of that quality are actually not expensive. For sure the ticket price is eyewatering , but the quality remains long after the price is forgotten. I own a Phantom 377L since last november and i have never sailed it. I bought it because it is beautiful. High time i invested in a propulsion system and went back to school.

I have been sailing Oxygens since they were introduced as O2's! No better designed slalom sail that can dump excess wind when overpowered. I can sail one to two sizes larger than everyone else on the water and not have to come in when the wind drops a couple miles per hour. As for durability... I'm pretty meticulous about taking care of my gear and average about 45 sessions per season for each of my 6.3 and 6.8 sails and if I they last 3 years I would be ecstatic but sadly the windows will tear in less time. My just replaced 6.8 exploded the main window while down hauling! A first in my 44 yrs of sailing. So even though it is a 6.8 I went with full xply this time. I can report that my 5.8 and 5.3 full xply Oxygens have lasted for many years but then they are only used a hand full of times per season. There is no better non-race sail on the market. To bad I always have to order from Europe and pay high shipping costs to sail on them in the US.

Wow, great to see and hear a bit more about the composition of the sail and the materials used. Very interesting.

Thanks for the excellent explanation Monty. I already knew that loftsails are the best and most durable sails I've used and therefore must be the best build sails. Now I know why 👌🤙🤩
