Well, about admiring Ravan you should understand that the person who is actually admire Ravan was actually the villan of the movie, its quite common for a villain to admire another villian, don't know whats the problem was in that and the main reason this movie was banned in india was because its talk about polotical issues like how to gain majority vote banks minorities were suppressed in the name of saving nation propoganda and how religion was used to gain votes and justify there deeds. How tribal communities were killed and nobody knows what happen to them and there living palaces were accuired and captured in the name of development.
