Lords of Flatbush was a terrific movie. Certainly one of my favorites growing up as a kid. Have to thank you for making such a great film with future stars that we would all come to enjoy.
I can imagine Richard Gere trying to read a book or lost into philosopic thoughts and Sly came in talking like a waterfall and cracking jokes and Richard would not find it too amusing. Cause Sylvester is more outgoing right, external, and Richard internal? I think maybe he's more outgoing now? Strange to think about that they didn't get along, I totally believe it yes, I just have equal admiration for both, really 2 of the best actors ever in their both ways. Sly best on action, and Richard better on drama. Thank Heaven for these fine actors! Do they get more along now, if they ever met again? I hope they are friends now :-)
I was there when the times were wild and the movie made right in Midwood and Brighton Beach. I spent many hours hanging out in Artie's Pool Room ( the one in this movie) racking pool balls for Tony Sirico (Paulie Walnuts) and friends. The real lords of flatbush. In fact the real stories of Midwood (flatbush) would make your head spin. compared to the relativley lame movie by comparison.
I remember my first time watching The Lords of the Flatbush I was a teenager in the 80s even though the movie came out in 70s. I love the Perry king part when he was with Anne the one with the big rollars. I didn't like Susan Blakely she was conceit.👎 I wonder what happen to the 2 ladies Anne and frannie

Svein Grimstad Stallone is a very smart guy like Gere. Stallone is a great screen writer. He wrote Rocky and many more.
Yeh, I know. Both are smart and I like them both.
