Such a weird bug, one day about a two months ago my FX53VD just up and starts getting stuck on the asus screen, no biggie. I get windows to update and restart (just kind of happened eventually) at this point my keyboard is backlit, and noticeably responsive. Being that my warranty is void and all that, I take it apart to pull the CMOS Battery on the BACK of the motherboard (pain in the ass). Have rebuilt this about 10 times the last two days and the only progress was when I put in connected a fresh CMOS battery. ""Progress" being, hdd light is responsive to keyboard inputs(lightbulb and airplanemode indicators are on and capslock is on off boot.), and when hard restarting the keyboard lights up for a second. I would say the boards done but its reading the drives fine, and you can see a very dim light when powering on, so LCD is probably okay. I'm to attempt to manually flash he bios(If i can find the firmware) as well as swap out the display connection coord. If it works ill bring word!

Hi Technically, we can't open laptop to disconnect battery by ourselves because of warranty issue. So I will suggest to let laptop drain by itself. You could check power indicatior will go out to make sure it's really no power , than plug AC in again to boot it on.

I bought 16gb ram in 8x2 2400mhz format for a F510QA laptop, only detecting 8gb of ram, i believe that the solution was to update BIOS but after updating it for my exact model (i'd check a lot of times) the laptop was bricked on black screen. @@asus_support thnx but no answer from Asus, I found that my specific model is abandoned and the BIOS on the official site is corrupted, I had to force a flash with a programmer using a backup of the original BIOS. Does not work for BIOS updates on the FA707XI laptops after updating to BIOS 307, now trying to update to 308 or downgrading to an earlier one no longer works, just a black screen all the time unless you hard reset and never try to update the bios again, really needs fixing.

Please help me I’m using Asus X541NA power went off while hips update and my screen isn’t showing no lights at all it just completely dark while my system is on😢 I’ve tried the above instructions nothing is working 😭

mine was bricked. windows update initiated bios update and laptop froze on bios update screen, i waited for 1 hour, then i powered it off and now its not working anymore. only power button light turns on but laptop doesnt. none of the methods shown here work. my laptop model is vivobook 14 x411qa

Does not work for BIOS updates on the FA707XI laptops after updating to BIOS 307, now trying to update to 308 or downgrading to an earlier one no longer works, just a black screen all the time unless you hard reset and never try to update the bios again, really needs fixing.

Have you try hard reset?
Before the error happen, have you make any change or update anything then the problem occur?

I have a problem with my asus zenbook ux390ua.
When I turn it on it goes on black screen when the inclination is near to 90 degrees (but it works when the inclination is lower, around 65/70 degrees).
The BIOS Version/Date is American Megatrends Inc. UX390UAK.320, 19/04/2019.
Could you help me solve this problem?

Does it occur when you open the lid? Is it still black screen when over 90 degrees? I am afraid it might be hardware related.
