  • Round 7 of Division 2 and a game between IBS Dalen - Holmsund. A relatively relaxed game where we control the most parts of the game. But we relax a bit to much towards the end which results in a few uneccessary goals. My goalie partner is in charge of this game.
    Stats from the game :
Total shots on goal : 20
    Goals against : 4
    Overall save % : 80%

Do you have another channel where you upload full games? It would be cool to see the footwork and positioning as the ball gets moved around on offense.

I used to post full games before and practice sessions. But I don't think that many watched them.
      I'll keep that in mind

I have to say, that I kinda does not understands the "too relaxed" behaviour of the goalie. The ball is still in play close to the net and he is standing, even sometimes does not even watch the ball. There always is posibility of losing the possesion of the ball or some critical error of the player... Why to risk that much? On the other hand, some of the saves were really nice... good positioning, move control.

Haha yea that is my goalie partner. He is a bit to relaxed sometimes before he gets into position. It has cost him goals from time to time :P
But it usually depends on the situation of the game, because some of the game, we completely dominate.

@@FloorballGoaliePoV Yep, but still, even when you completly dominate, it would be nice to "stay focused" to have chance to "have better stats" :) So far, when I was watching your videos, when Oscar was in the net, he seems that "I do not care what is happening near the net" :) Like the situation at 0:56, defenceman under pressure, and he is standing, not paying attention to the game and comunicating with bench :) As a goalie trainer my self, I would "kick him into the butt", for this :)
On the bright side, I really like his movement and motion control, and fast hands.
But a few "advices" from goalie to goalie. I do not like the "resting hands on the ground“, like in 1:20, which led to the goal. In the moment of the shot at 1:23 he has full weight on the left hand, which make unpossible to react to the shot. Which is "pitty" when, with full body up and left hand not touching the ground, it would be an easy save.
And maybe 3rd goal, I personaly would be a much more aggresive. When receiving the pass, shooter is not looking at the net or goalie and watching the "ground and ball", fast push and using legs like "scissors“... and I think striker is "dead" and goalie has the ball :)

@@Floydos85 You are 100% correct and I would say those types of game are good practices to just develope that focus. I can say that I act the same from time to time, not as much, but I have to admit that I am guilty of being a bit relaxed from time to time.
And that's why its good to record yourself and get that feedback for yourself. Sometimes I question myself, "why did I even do that?"

@@FloorballGoaliePoV "why did I even do that?" is my often reaction after conceding a goal :) Videos are nice "feedback" and my goalie partner and really tallented goalie who attends even goalie camps and goalie trainings with "national team" goalie coaches, makes feedbacks to me too. Yes, I´m a bit old (38) and currently Im No.1 goalie in our reserve team, because goalies in the A-Team are 20 years younger :) and I was starting in net relatively lately (at age 17) and all my goalie skills are self taught (So my style is kinda full of the bad habits etc.), the feedback is basicly my "base line" to what focus on and what to try eliminate from my goaltending.
