Calvin has got to be one of the best friends in the world, to come all the way from England to work so hard in the extreme heat. How lucky Dan is to have such good friends, i believe it is proof of Dan's innate likeability, kindness and charisma.
@Rosie Hugh I am well aware of how far England is from France,it's still traveling from one country to another and not really pertinent to the point I was making.
That is amazing. The neighbor cared enough about the chateau to rescue and save those pieces of marble. He must be so happy that you are saving the chateau.
His neighbor is the former owner of the château. Pretty sure he planned on rebuilding it, but then realized ... 😳😬 ... that he doesn't have what Dan has. 😅
Gentlemen, you never cease to amaze me. Your workload is beyond tremendous, yet day by day, you move forward and work to save this chateau and the woodland. Most people would throw up their arms and just walk away.
Dumpsters, must be very expensive to rent in France. That's the only explanation I can propose for the constant repetition of work. Throw stuff from the top floor to the first floor, Pick it up and carry it over to the window. Throw it out the first floor window on the ground. Go get the front end loader and pick it up from the ground. Repeat endlessly. Two dumpsters and waste chutes going into them would have saved months of work.
Wonderful news about the stonework... 😀 It really show the neighbour is the previous owner, selling it with the aim of re-building it as it was previously.
A very big thank you to your neighbor for keeping those granite arches safe!! Thank you Calvin, Nick, and Cameron for all your hard work. You are making a huge difference and it's so appreciated. See all you handsome fellas tamarrah! 💕

And to see how much it gashed the wall when it bounced off it before hitting the ground, just like the dismantled water tank piece. Hope those heavy items didn't damage the stone wall when they hit it on the way down.
You are so blessed, incredible that the pieces are still there. You friends who are so helpful. And your health that keeps you going like the little engine that could.
I remember, I watched Dan’s vlog of the house restoration and I was amazed. But with this project it blew my mind. He is restoring what is beyond the repair. I am watching with awe every singe movie and I have no idea where does he take this positive outlook from. I bet as soon as the camera is off, he screams out. Lol. It gives me hope though, as I bought a shop that is in the same state as chateau. Maybe, I will be able to pull it off too.
This is just amazing Dan! I keep saying it, I know we all do! The I beams will be a HUGE step for you. I do want to say that I really enjoyed your interview with Ivan. He is such a special man. He clearly loves nature. I wish I had a man like him here in America to help me with my forest!
So nice that your neighbor safeguarded the granite arch pieces! 🤗 Now they await their replacement as you will 'mend' the pieces into one to finish off the front facade. Exciting things happening on the Chateau and the wooded area around it! 😄👍👍👍
The stone archways are magnificent. Bless your neighbor for saving them. Its looking so good! Glad you have all that wonderful help from your wonderful friends! God bless. ❤

Omgosh, Calvin, Nick and Cameron, its wonderful to see the crew there, cause you know there will be huge progress, and progress to the brick wall too, truly amazing. I wonder if Calvin plays rugby? He certainly has the legs for it! And thank you Calvin for coming to help Dan, you're my hero!
I love every single little/big thing that's being done. Nothing is boring. You could make an entire vlog series out of just clearing, changing the grounds. I wait for these videos every day.
Has Calvin participated in throwing the kabor….like is done in Scottish Highland Games? Just see him with a kilt rolling the logs!Tossing beams, mattresses, and tubs aside like they’re matchsticks is a pretty awesome heavy task! Actually what a team to work together…Dan, Nick, Calvin and Cameron….you’ve got the the makings of the hot crew to help out anyone in the Chateau renovation business! Amazing to bring back the original arches/ballistae! I think you Dan must be the talk of the village or Province/area! You bet making change happen! Love that music….so suitable!
It's a blessing to have those pieces back, because I feel there would be no way for you to replace those and make them suitable to blend in. Let's hope things keep popping up that you need until all is done. Having those and having awesome help makes things so fantastic for you. Frankly you are making so much progress that you are showing any naysayers what can be done if you put your mind to it. If there was ever any doubt, that doubt should most certainly dissipate. Dan, Glad to once again see the progress on the Chateau grounds that Calvin, Nick and you have made recently. That was very kind of your neighbor to secure the missing granite arches that were missing from the Chateau. Keep up the good work. Mark & Scott
Dan, those arch sections should be PINNED in addition to using the lime mortar. That is the way things are done today for safety and strength, structural integrity.
