This pond is absolutely beautiful. Hey Hollywood you are very entertaining. 😀 I love going to Grassroots. Melissa and Scott are awesome. Everyone there is super nice. Very knowledgeable.
My man actually sat down with me and watched this he came in about 5 minutes in asked what I was watching and started watching with me 💕 beautiful job guys thank you for sharing
I discovered you guys recently through insider, I absolutely love Koi Pons unfortunately the area I live in is way true dry and way to varied in temperature to actually safely keep koi. But this is honestly a beautiful pond and I love to see you guys restore it
Great Build Guys that pond is amazing 😍💯🐟 And koi a must for this pond now 🤣🤣 they might be useing the goldfish to start the pond cycle off maybe 😎🐟 You guys got my sub great content matey 👍
Man I am loving these videos keep them coming. Iv learned it's alot more work to make these beautiful koi ponds then I thought... One question I have tho is how much maintenance does one of the ponds take?
Thank you! And we sure will! Maybe we should make a video soon answering just this! I’m going to repost this video to fix the voiceover at 14 minutes. Hope you see this first!
I would love to make a pond like this, im 10 years old and i love all animals and FISH mostly koi and goldfish, im trying to convince my parent's let me make one in my back yard, but i dont have a lot of money, could you please tell me how much money it was? i love going to aquascapes near us and seeing the ponds and the huge koi, i have even met Greg Wit Stok (the pond guy) thanks!
I'm in Metro Detroit, if I wanna keep either Koi or Bass, I haven't decided yet, how deep does the pond have to be for the fish to be ok during the winter? And how wide and long is the pond in the video? Last question, more details about the filtration setup, like actual pump model, prefilter model number, and filter model numbers please.
Would help you to learn auqascape principles. 2 large rocks with one between/above for waterfall. Not millions of flat rocks. No concrete!!! They use foam- better with freeze/thaw. NO "ring of pearls" around the pond- leave spaces for plants ans some with gravel and smaller rocks. Red mulch is SO distracting- horrible. I have learned so much watching aquascape video's. Hope you can to. Become anaquascape contractor.
Fun Energy from the video host. Love the idea of a seating wall too. I'm surprised by your use of Concrete - are you in an area where there's no chance of snow and ice cracking and destroying the concrete in the winter?
Thank you! That means a lot 😊 the seating wall was my dads idea! He’s the brains of the operation 😂 but yes we do get snow and ice and occasionally have to tuck point and fix some separation but often we never have to! Some of our boulder/slate and concrete ponds have held up for decades. However, in the past year we have signed onto the aquascape network of contractors and no longer use concrete 👍🏼
We stopped installing bottom drains a couple years back. We have yet to see issues with the ones we have installed. But we have encountered the bonds going bad at the bottom of ponds before and were really upset at the outcome for the finned friends. 🐠
Great video again! Love the pond fathers vision on these projects you guys seem to be learning a lot from him that's some good work guys! What part of Michigan are you in?
We don’t call him the pond father for nothing hahaha! We learn something new everyday, no doubt! And thank you for enjoying the work, we’re so glad you enjoyed it! We are in southeast Michigan! Just north of Monroe
It has to be one of the most tasteless & ill thought out pond & landscaping jobs ever inflicted upon someone’s garden. The mulch in particular is both visually appalling, will not weather naturally,is certain to be blown knocked or washed into the water, discolouring & potentially poisoning as leaches out. Ditto to the soil around. I’d be so pissed if I came home to see my good money spent that way.A real shame cos the labor involved is considerable, just terribly executed.Landscapers who have no real regard for working with the living world are jokers .
Another great video. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks watching Jason! You the man!

Wow that’s a big pond 👀 they won’t have to worry about predators ie raccoons

Believe it or not we are aquascape contractors now! Check out our latest shorts! We were just at an INCREDIBLE event for a UA-camr 😊
Like Im the expert. Congrats!

No bottom drain? The most important part in building a pond.
We stopped installing bottom drains a couple years back. We have yet to see issues with the ones we have installed. But we have encountered the bonds going bad at the bottom of ponds before and were really upset at the outcome for the finned friends. 🐠
@@grassrootspondgarden3431 oh man. hope that doesn't happen. It would be a pain.
@@Nguyen12121 I have 7 ponds for over 5 years now, no bottom drains but 1. Other 6 might be better

Ayyyye thank you so much! Hope to grow it even more 😃
EPIC
Truper brand? Holly Molly 😅
Nice pond rebuild. I would recommend to present it a little bit more mature then this childish stuff.

Jfc you are unbearable. I'd quit on day one 😂
You put a camera on any knucklehead and he thinks he's an actor.
Yeah what you said 😂
