Absolute perfect skiing by Richi - and he explaines very good what is to do for better and better controlled skiing - it´s always a great pleasure to look and hear your videos - thank you Richi !!!
Amazing! I really enjoyed your teachings in the Legacy video's part of Project Productions. Looking forward to any future lessons trough this platform, since quality ski instruction content is scarce. Recordings from both the front- and back are very useful, yet rare to find.
Exactly. Paul Lorenz has also written about this (www.paullorenzclinics.com/post/angulation-or-inclination-what-s-the-point). There he states (from what he picked up from Japanese & Korean Interski workshops) the following: "They heavily stress weight on the inside ski or 50-50 ski weighting until the fall line to aid inclination. They believe that moving in with angulation and weight on the outside ski limits the amount one can move in. The important part for them is being inclined enough to deal with the extreme centripetal force at, or just after the fall line when the pressure is at its greatest.". Richi has been the #1 inspiration for modern Japanese ski technique. I really like to play with these concepts since it makes skiing so more fun and dynamic.
Although I've read that article a few times before, am glad you brought that bit to my attention as hadn't noticed it before. This past Oz season worked at allowing more topple at the top of the turn and there's a sentence at the bottom of that paragraph in the article '...there is no struggle to be felt. That feeling of “g-force”, pressure, strength and struggle as felt in the over-angulated position was not there. It feels simple and easy because the forces are aligned and the skeletal system is doing its job.' Yes! My speed and angles would be much less than Paul is generating however the feeling was like an armchair ride vs perched on the edge of a chair balanced over a cliff.
@@TheGpatters888 I felt the exactly the same thing! My skiing has become much more enjoyable (as in that the sensations are much more fun). My turns now flow better all together. Fun we experienced the same (and I guess many others have done so as well).
@@mitchel3392 Are all you commenters describing space shuttle construction or nuclear fusion or, what the hell? In the first demonstration he is starting the turn with an exaggerated down motion on his heels which makes the skis jet out from under him making for a very unstable ride. Nobody skis like that. They may push the tails to the side rather than letting the tips do the turning but they don't do that. In the second run he is skiing correctly. Step onto your uphill ski as you lead the turn with your upper body facing down the hill and you balance is on the uphill arch through the turn. The first run shows him forcing the skis to change direction, the second run shows him balancing on his arch and let's the ski make the turn. The second run is how to ski. The first run nobody does and it doesn't make any sense to begin with. You may be impressing each other with all that High Tech sounding BS but not someone who keeps it simple and makes learning easy to understand. You created a non issue with this video. Oh and, I see Dunn is forever kissing up as usual.

I am sure we would all like to see a video of your skiing because clearly you have no idea what you are talking about. Or maybe you do and you are just trying to troll everyone.

Richi meister burger, Burger Meister, that Uniform is a Technicolour Mess
Why is he wearing a set of curtains?
Richi fährt einfach super !!!
Nice non-ski demo. Interesting the delay in angulation - very little on the downhill turning and then increasing through the uphill turn phase.

@@JB91710 I liked his 2nd and 3th run more as well. He's a very entertaining skier to watch.
Oh, and Happy New Year JB!
love the back view!
Your "worse" skiing image is still better than most skier's best.
Agree with you.Sadley, very few "skiers" understand that.
Richie realy rocks.
One of the best free skiers ever...
Traversing→Uphillturn❌ Downhillturun→Uphillturn⭕️
This is not what skiing should bee.Try to link your turns together. There is way to much misinformation out there.
