Bonnie is seriously the best modern day mom, I love her so much. She’s old school but modern and absolutely so easy going. That’s such a great combination when it comes to being a mother!!!
I know right, like she and Joel do great with their kids and vlogging! My wife and I are vloggers as well and it can be hard to balance that life...they’ve got it down 🙂
Bonnie please don't put your fears onto your kids! If Joel think's it's fine you should trust him. My mom was scared and didn't want to ski or get on the rides at amusement parks etc. and always told us how worried and scared she was of everything and to watch out for this and that.. That made us kids into scared adults that have to work so hard not to be scared of everything. I still haven't been able to go skiing and that sucks. I was a fearless fun loving tomboy until I started listening to my mom.
It's called educating and teaching on the importance of being the most careful. She loves them dearly and obviously trusts Joel considering they were with their Dad by themselves..what the heck? Bug off, no one wants your super judgemental opinions girl.👌
i agree, there’s been many things i haven’t tried because of my parents fear being instilled in me. it’s okay to have fears about things like that but at a reasonable extent
Cells phone did not exist when I was a kid. We had to use PAY PHONES 🤣. Then PAGERS came out, where you could leave a number for someone to call back. That’s hilarious that someone was in your seats. ✌🏼
I remember getting our first color tv and dealing with a 10 party phone line and the operator connecting our long distance calls. No remote for tv, no vcr, no microwave, no 8 track player or casettes....only records, no vhs or dvds, no disposable diapers, but we did have the Brady Bunch every friday night 😊
When I was little smart phones were not a thing. And then when they started to come into existence kids definitely did not have one. Kids really didn’t have phones either in my early teens
We never had a computer! We played out doors and Occasionally we played board games. We went snowmobiling in the winter. Roller skating was so big. Neighborhood kids played base ball. There was no time for TV’s.
I remember getting our first microwave oven when I was about Olivia's age. They may have been invented already, but not many people had one if they were. I know when we got it it was HUGE compared to the ones now and we all stood around it watching it melt butter, pop popcorn, etc, etc. Nowadays they are considered appliances that come built into a home when you buy it (unless you are like me and still have a countertop one, lol). Also, I remember when cassette tapes came out. When I was a kid it was records or 8-track tapes. My uncle was SO cool because he actually had an 8-track tape player in his VAN! Woo, now THAT was cool! xoxox Heather🇨🇦
Bonnie, I totally get why you get so worried! I'm exactly the same. When I was younger, I was such a daredevil and didn't care for the risks but now my mind always thinks of the worst case scenario. I think that's normal for some people!
DVDs didn’t exist when I was younger came out when I was in college! We have a subscription to out local theatre too and love it! They had the wizard of oz too! My daughter loved it!
It gives me the chills hearing your kids talking about hitting trees while skiing. I know a girl who lost her life as a young teen after hitting her head on a tree while skiing
That is the protective mama bear. You want them to have fun but gull if something happens. LINCOLN!! Way to go buddy!! So many things didn't exist, like internet and ya know lol
Whooooo hoooooo co Lincon, your a star all of your kids are so fun they all have there own individual personalities and this is what makes them there own unique fabulous self I love them , you should be such a proud mum and dad , and you are such good parents to these kids ( ps can’t I just comment on your and Olivia’s hair they are so cute ) 💗💗💗😘😘😘😘😘
Microwave Ovens might have _existed_ but they weren't widely in homes or anything. The first one we had was *HUGE* . Took up a whole counter in our kitchen and heated things really unevenly. No turntable or anything. Now? I don't know what life would be like without a microwave.
I love Olivia’s personality! She’s too cute. Lucky girl to get to go on dates with her parents. I also loved when Cody ran up to his momma in the hall, so tender ❤️ I literally live for your vlogs!! Every morning, never miss one 🙂 would love for you guys to come to Nova Scotia! 🇨🇦🌅🛶⚓️🚜
Kids bodies are pretty flexible and they are wearing proper gear. They wear skiing ⛷ with a lot of people. Bonnie, you really need to get on that slope when you are healed and your doctor gives you the okay and ski 🎿 with the kids. I think it will help you will be less anxious.
Joel, I couldn’t agree more! Reese’s are LIFE, but I don’t like Reese’s Pieces and for some reason no one else understands that the peanut butter in them tastes gross. 😂
Touch screen. When I started Kindergarten we had the old IBM and we had Windows 95 at home. Never thought one day we would have portable computers with touch screens let alone cell phones.
Hi Bonnie, loved the video as always. I wanted to request on one of your makeup videos, could you and Ellie give this 52 year old a lesson on what brushes are the best to apply each thing, I get so confused in the store. 😄 Thanks!
When I was little there wasn’t video game console that had internet on it yet and aol dial up was still a thing and box TVs were still a thing I remember when smartphones where the new thing and my grandma was the first in the family to get one
Bonnie I seriously look up to how you parent. I have two young kiddos and my son is 1 1/2 and coming up on potty training soon. I had such a hard time with my first daughter that I wanted your secrets. Can you make a video on exactly how you potty train!? I would love that! You inspire me! 💗
Was the actress Vicki Schreck or Lori Rutherford? Barbara Harris just died recently. How about things we had that you didn't? Like a rotary phone or manual typewriter? The only home hair driers we had was a bonnet you'd wear, even beauty salons didn't have them. I watched several different young people try to figure out how a rotary phone works, they couldn't figure it out. Would you be willing to see if Olivia and/or Cody figure one out.
UA-cam didn't exist when I was little! (I was born in '89) Pretty much all social media platforms weren't around. I remember talking to my friends on AOL instant messenger, but not until I was into my teen years, haha!
Olivia when I was born there was no cell phones or caller iD. I’m your parents age so we also didn’t have internet or tablets. We were told as kids that by the time we die that we will have floating electric cars.
Smartphones were not around when I was a kid until about jr. high/high school. Also, tablets were just barely becoming a thing, facetime wasn't around, snapchat, instagram, facebook, twitter.... none of that was around! Hahaha so much technology has come around since I was a kid!
We were one of the first families to have email because my dad is a computer programmer. I remember he told us that he used to ask people what their email address was to get in touch with clients and they'd say, "what's an email address?" 😂😂
I got my first phone when they just came out, people still used “pagers” , I asked my parents a pager and one day my dad brought me from one of his business trips a phone. I’m from a small town and had a phone first in my town. no one even knew they existed. I was so mad he didn’t get me pager. I was like “what the heck is this??? I wanted pager. What am I supposed to do with this?!” Not to seem spoiled, its the only thing I ever asked my parents, but I was confused by a phone. I was 13.
Bonnie and Joel yay for potty training. Also I was born in 1992 aka February and did not grow up with a computer until early 2000’s and we still had DIAL-UP! Lol.
Cell phones weren’t as popular as they are now. I grew up thinking “rich” people only had cell phones. I remember when my mom got her first cell phone.
Mobile phones, lol. I remember when I was 19 & my Dad had his first mobile. The battery was absolutely huge, kinda like the size of a car battery. Haha, not so mobile but so cool.... Cheers, Majella (Australia 🇦🇺)
Bonnie, I'm no parent, but you do have the right to be freaked out. But you have to fail, and hit trees, to succeed. Especially in snowboarding (which is better than skiing in my opinion) when I was snowboarding for the first year, third day of the trip, I was snowboarding and I started slowing down too late and I ran into the "SLOW" sign🤣🤣🤣 I wasn't going slow enough I guess 🤣🤣🤣
We’re the about same age (25). We had cell phones but they were flip phones or like the fat phones where you had to pull out the antenna lol idk of you had a computer in your home but I chatted with my friends through AOL instant messenger or what we called, AIM. Lol
How funny I was in the wizard of oz play.but I was a munchkin from middle school so I wasn’t in so much because it was a high school play love yall so much
Television was invented shortly after I was born. I remember being around 3 and wondering if the people on TV could see me through the set like I could see them.
So sweet to see you and Joel take each child out individually!! 😃
Bonnie is seriously the best modern day mom, I love her so much. She’s old school but modern and absolutely so easy going. That’s such a great combination when it comes to being a mother!!!
I never had a phone
I know right, like she and Joel do great with their kids and vlogging! My wife and I are vloggers as well and it can be hard to balance that life...they’ve got it down 🙂
Marissa Turner ppp
Bonnie are you going to do an update and show before and after pics from surgery?
I would love that too!
Dying to see them!
Lincon looks the most similar to Bonnie. So cute.
Bonnie please don't put your fears onto your kids! If Joel think's it's fine you should trust him. My mom was scared and didn't want to ski or get on the rides at amusement parks etc. and always told us how worried and scared she was of everything and to watch out for this and that.. Having a 3 year old putting that big gumball in his mouth freaks me out...are you afraid of choking?
Especially ones who's running around with it in his mouth

Love Lincoln 's hair cut like that , he looks so cute!
When I was Olivia’s age, we didn’t have cellphones. Pay phones were on every corner !
You asked what we did not have when I grew up. We did not have cell phones, computers, so many makeup brands, etc. Now I feel OLD! lol🙏🏻💗🙏🏻💗
It gives me the chills hearing your kids talking about hitting trees while skiing. I know a girl who lost her life as a young teen after hitting her head on a tree while skiing

Yay Lincoln! That’s so exciting! My boy turns 2 in March and he’s used the potty a few times. Hopefully it’ll be fast.

Touch screen. When I started Kindergarten we had the old IBM and we had Windows 95 at home. Never thought one day we would have portable computers with touch screens let alone cell phones.
The internet has been around for a long time, but it just wasn’t accessible to a lot of people till the early 2000’s
olivia is so grown up!😍 she is absolutely gorgeous!!!!💗💗
Hi Bonnie, loved the video as always.
I wanted to request on one of your makeup videos, could you and Ellie give this 52 year old a lesson on what brushes are the best to apply each thing, I get so confused in the store. 😄 Thanks!

An iPod did not exist when I was a kid, we had cds and carried around a big CD player and all of our CD's with us.
2:26 Olivia is such a mini bonnie💜 that s exactly what she would do😂😂
You know your man loves you when he gets excited that you're sitting next to him! 💕
I literally can’t get out of bed or start my day until I watch your vlogs 😂 Happy Tuesday Hoellein fam!
When I was little there wasn't any social media (that I know of) and I'm only 17, so many things have changed so fast over the years and it's insane!
Boston’s message to Bonnie is so cute my heart ❤️

Bonnie, we need a hair tutorial! Also, what do you tell your stylist when you get it cut
We did not have cell phones when I was younger.. Olivia is precious!
When I was a kid cell phones were not a thing and when they did come out we didn't get one until we were driving so our parents could keep in touch.
Bonnie you and your family are so incredible, ablsoutly love your videos. Much love from England x
I grew up on the startong end of smart phones. I remember my moms pink razor flip phone and thats when the blackberry started coming out
In my time, saving documents on a computer was onto a floppy disk and then eventually usb's changed everything.
The roof is the city creek mall ❤️ I live in SLC!

Cody’s jealous face 😂 Olivia is such a cutie pie!
Something that wasn't around when I was little was UA-cam! UA-cam was developed in 2005. I am a 90's baby!
Cell phones. We had a phone on the wall and shared a line with neighbors so we had a party line.
Bonnie and Joel yay for potty training. Also I was born in 1992 aka February and did not grow up with a computer until early 2000’s and we still had DIAL-UP! Lol.
I love you guys so much you have such a beautiful family sending you lots of love from Australia
