Not hating on AJ, especially with Fury showing his true colours recently and we can see that probably Fury never wanted the AJ fight…but Usyk was mandatory for AJ so there was no swerving unless Usyk took step aside money. Pretty clear Usyk would step aside so AJ didn’t voluntarily face Usyk twice. It was a mandatory with a rematch clause

AJ has done incredible for himself, especially because of how late he started in the game compared to others.
You can tell that he's not a natural, like Wilder and others who started later in boxing! As a kid,you develop a natural movement that becomes your second nature! They are great athletes who got the most out of boxing with strength and power! Even Wladimir Klitchko was a huge guy,but stiff!

Fury ducking has inadvertently made Joshua look a better fighter than he was being given credit for.
This was always the case. You guus got giddy cause he beat wilder. Fury spent his whole career trying to clout chase off joshua and now wilders values plummeted and people are more knowledgeable about boxing, reality kicked in. Its what happens when you're not just a casual fanboy and you watch boxing for the art & science

Absolutely. It's nice to see some of the horrendous flak he had to deal with these last two years begin to lessen.
AJ defended the world titles more than any other heavyweight champ since Klitschko. No other champ in this era came close to matching his record so far. Both Fury and Usyk have years of work if they want to catch up with AJ's 9 world title defenses. For Usyk maybe it's an unfair comparison though because he campaigned at cruiserweight most of his career.

Joshua gets a lot of stick, but he always fought his mandatory challenger. The governing bodies kept throwing them at him. Multiple title defences. Look at Fury, don’t think he’s ever defended a title against a mandatory.

You have to give credit to AJ for being one of the greatest european boxers of all time. Yeah cannot be compared to someone like Lennox Lewis or Vitali Klitschko but he is a level below them.

Since the Usyk 2 meltdown AJ seems a lot more true to himself these days. He seems to be speaking more freely and worrying less about public perception. I loved how he kept it real and called Eddie a businessman checking in on his investment, the old AJ would have given a fake BS answer

Better edit that post again… Povetkin & Pulev were both 39 when they fought Joshua, and although Klitschko was 41 he was in the shape of his life, still on his toes and firing all cylinders until he got caught with that uppercut. AJ may not be my favourite fighter but he definitely earned his stripes as a champion, he didn’t try to duck the big fights, and he’s rightly still in the top mix as long as he makes a big statement against Franklin.
