Awesome video! Thank you for making a short and concise video with all the basic need-to-know information. I appreciate the effort of other content creators but I just don't have the time to commit to a 20+ minute video. This was very informative and had great production quality. Earned a sub from me! Looking forward to more :)
I've come to realize that expensive motors are not at all necessary for most pilots. Especially for freestyle pilots. Freestyle pilots will have to replace motors from time to time and the less expensive the better. Race pilots might want the more expensive motors because they're lighter weight because they use titanium shafts, but for me no way. I spent $26 each motor one time. The bearings don't last longer and the bells aren't any more durable. To replace a motor on that quad I could but 2 Velox v2 motors.
When my 0802 19000kv motors re in normal position my drone flies really good but when upside down it just can fly 2 cm from the ground although i have checked the props well
I liked your video and I am subscribed. I hear and read about certain props causing motors to burn out depending on the prop used, whether 2-blade or 3-blade. IE- The HX 115 from BetaFPV recommends using a 4-cell battery only with 2-blade props; and 3-blade only with 3-cell batteries. I think the HX 115 runs 1105/5000kv motors. Would the 3-blade demand more than the motor can deliver while using a 4-cell battery? How can I tell if using a certain prop will cause the motor damage in general regarding any quad? I know I need to know the relationship but I have never taken the time to find out what I need to know.
I think that 3 blade props are not recommended for 4S battery is because the 3 blade prop and the motor combination will draw more current. And that is why the motor gets hot and it's not good for the motor. Prop and battery running on 4S battery will obviously draw more current than the same setup on 3S battery. So if you use a 3 blade propeller then the current drawn increases even more. So it's not recommended is what I feel.

To get an idea of the motor and propeller combo to be used, look at other builds with similar specs as of yours.
Have you ever considered decaf ?
Haha, I actually haven’t had caffeine in over thirteen years!
@@illuminatedrones Great information..I know you're getting a lot in a short time, subbed you and shared the video 👍
@@dallasb7117 thank you! Yeah, we try to save people hours of research with each video!
Is 3D drone flying and drone setup covered in the online course?
We cover drone setup and configuration for acro drones. We were going to make a section on 3D flying but there wasn’t enough interest.
@@illuminatedrones I got the course, very good and informative so far.
3D content would be much appreciated. :)
