It's weird how someone picked this song for a K-Mart tape like "whatever" and probably forgot about it by that evening, and by sheer luck, one copy of it survived and blossomed into a cult following over 30 years later.
I’m more curious if Mladen knows that Jamboree is a cult classic and what his feelings are on it. Googling him he appears to be alive and 83 at the time of commenting.
Those K-Mart tapes are filled with German production music like this. Wonder if any of the composers ever gave permission for their music to be used in the US.
@@ineedstuff8286 I agree with you. Of course, it is great to hear the full track as it was intended. Yet, hearing it from a worn cassette projects a nostalgic atmosphere. I feel the same way about Cosy by Aleksander Maliszewski. The second half on it, when heard from the worn tape brings a tear to my eye.
@@starsmash7491 i thought that at first, but listening again i feel like i can really appreciate the dynamics that were lost on the aged tape. and yes, it's different, but that piano solo really hits me... thanks for reminding me of this music anyway lol, i haven't been back here since i last commented
Same, I've heard the Kmart recovered tape version probably 30 times now. But this is my first time in clear stereo. Mind blown! (Yes I'm sad and constantly mesmerized by the past times lol)
Holy shit. I heard this song in the kmart tape 5 years ago and I was always mystified by it. I spent hours searching for this. I forget about the kmart tape for a year and I come back and suddenly people know the name and there's a high quality version?!?!?! I love the internet
Hearing this in such high definition is like seeing a photo of a long-lost relative for the first time. I don't care how goofy it is, it's an amazing track.
I used to love being in my kmart (sadly they closed it around 2017) I miss it a lot I actually wanted it to become my first job(I was 15 at the time it closed). but sadly, it left to soon and became a in home store. I can't go into that store without bringing fond memories of that kmart and growing up with it's lovely outdated yet retro 80's/90's feel (like the pastelish yellows and blues and assorted triangles) I loved it so much. I never really stood on the prices of the stuff sure but I just loved the feel of a kmart being at home with it's amazing smells of the k-cafe, the feeling of being home and the saddest part was the "DJ" of that kmart just sounded sad that they were closing nothing in my heart can replace the kmart I knew.

man... I have been listening to the kmart version for a couple years... it is still better (subjective), but man the clarity of the instruments vs that tape version. I couldn't help but immediately zone out on the guitar in the left channel. This song is just an absolute classic... like, an individual should 100%, feel accomplished at leaving behind something that funnels pure joy and beauty, straight from the Creator (via the language revealed in physics of sound)..
Everyone here a middle aged person While me. 15 years of age trying to imagine what it was like in the 80’s/90’s Must be wonderful right? Easier times?
@@TheOnlysleeping89 I think my fixation with those years is that it's way more common to go outside all day and be social with people. Me myself i don't really have a lot of people to be around with and do stuff with, but i got a couple of buddies from across the globe. I'm imagining in that time it was just more of a look at a wall or some television all day or go outside. We got video games and way more media to distract us all day now, it's getting to where it's like a comfort and everything outside of that feels awkward or some other bullcrap. It's probably just a me problem and i am the one to blame. I do have a choice afterall conclussion: i'm lonely as f*ck... also the music was awesome at that time.
@@SmileTOBY my advice if worth anything is to try and grow and create relationships with people around you in person - in the end definitely more impactful and memorable than anything online
