I think i realized you just STUDY enough to have a grasp on the subject such as html,css,JS and then practice building projects for a couple of weeks in order to retain/struggle/learn.
For me I don’t just study. I do mini projects that use basic constructions and i do more and more with that. I then do it more and more until I feel like I won’t forget subject and also understand it. Then I know that I can move on.
I JUST got out of that knowledge seeking loophole. Keeping it simple and putting things into practice is definitely the way. Information overload must...die!!
I got a BS in Computer Science in 2019 but didnt feel like i knew enough, while working on projects my nephew got sick and i just had to take any job i could get to make money so i fell out of coding. I tried to go back but like you said i didnt get into the grind, as soon as i started to struggle i slowed down. In march i started working out every day to help with the loss of my nephew and overall be healthy. Watching this video made me realize i am capable of putting the grind time in because i am doing it for at least 2 hours a day in the gym, now i just need to do it with coding as well.
I love this! Ever since I started programming with Python, I try to apply the new things I learn into a small project. I have created 30+ projects that are getting more complex each time and I'm having so much fun! I do have a question about the mentorship program / personal call though, does it have any value for people on a tight budget?
love this! definitely something that took me a while to fully embrace, but looking back on my journey so far, the most success and improvement I've seen is during the times I've been neck deep into my projects :)

As a programmer for 15ish years now. 100% spot on. I’ve learned so much and gotten so much farther just jumping in. I still feel times when it feels like I’m in over my head, but that for me means I’m still learning and that’s a great thing. Be comfortable jumping in, be comfortable learning continually.
good video! it is the same for many things you can do in life! if you want to become a better runner? you need to run MORE! if you want to become a better coder? you need to code MORE! just lookin at people run and explaining you the best running technique is helpful , however you need to actually go out every day and run to get faster and better.. it is no different for coding / web dev .. you need to built projects and write your own code.. it is a simple as that

I started programming 6-7 months ago as hobby and i feel like my brain is gonna blow up. Started with Python and then js, then said “i should make a mobile app for this code” then React Native, “i should learn e-commerce etc.” Then Express…Nextjs etc.. Now im struggling with embedded systems like Esp32 with microPython, trying to handle Ota Update but now asking myself “Should i learn C++?” The sad part is all of my projects laying down in a folder on my desktop and i cant publish my codes because of thinking “wow, so many genius guy out there, they will probably laugh in the office while they drinking their coffee and looking my code” That thought pushes me to write clean and efficient code and test all of parts. And also this brings another problem: feeling the project will never finish. Sad.
Thanks for what you do. Im new. Can you describe the jobs you have done and in general go through all the tasks you did to complete that job. I would like to see a series of videos about job descriptions offered and how it was worked on so as see what to expect in jobs offered. Thank you.
just build projects and make spend hours figuring out how to do a dropdownlist with the select tag only to find out hours later that you cant really customize the select tag and do it with divs and span and position absoloute instead

It's true bit what happens to me everytime is lacking ides for projects and when i start working on something let's say basic html css website and i get stuck i find it hard sometimes ro find solutions since i don't even know what to look for .(if you don't already know there let's say something called transition how can you google it xd )
The same applies to: Author, Photographer, Artist. You write, take lots of pictures, and go through gallons of paint & wear out brushes on acres of canvas. Programming? Sit down with it & do: code. I learned line-number BASIC (Tandy color computer) and C this way. A glossary and a project... C++ and Pythons came somewhat easy to catch, then, but I got lazy with computers for a little while. Now? Geany starts when Cinnamon starts. All of my old code has a bug in it, in that I don't test for numeric input when I int something and cin >> something; . Bingo. Studying is an ongoing process anyways…you will be studying as you struggle to build.

Leetcode-style problems are really important too though, because most companies ask them in interviews.
