They’re students, they are supposed to be intelligent and think things through..but than again, intelligence doesn’t necessary mean you have the right moral compass. There are enough examples of intelligent, intellectual people, who openly display admiration for the most cruel dictators in history. Either they are wilfully blind to the atrocities committed by these dictators (and that doesn’t look very intelligent), or they themselves are wicked.

They have no basic understanding of twentieth century history that led to the 21st. They cannot remember a time they were under direct threat, because they never have been. Some of them find ways to justify nine eleven. Problematic.
They cannot speak or answer BASIC questions, they parrot - they use buzzwords or don't use critical thinking, passively accepting so-called information without questioning the source, validation, etc. (You think Hamas or Hamas-run agencies are reporting the truth? You think al-j isn't heavily politically biased when it comes to Israel? Study the region and ask questions.

You are right, they won't listen. Not the ones at the protests anyway. Exceptions might prove the rule. But some of their more reasonable peers will listen. The ones fed up with not being able to get to their classes. So it is well worth the effort.

If the conflict becomes a full scale shooting war, how many western nations would side with Iran? The answer to that should have a chilling effect on pro Palestinian and Hezbollah activists and protesters all around the world, especially young students. Having been videoed supporting the enemy they will soon learn the lesson of the German American Bund and Oswald Mosely's Fascists. The leaders of these groups were immediately imprisoned on the out break of war along with many of their subordinates and their lives were ruined. But also ruined were the lives of many of their rank and file supporters who found themselves shunned as traitors, unable to find work etc., essentially becoming pariahs. It would be a tragic consequence for some 18 year old who joined a Pro Hamas protest because it was trendy to find their life ruined as a consequence.
From Indian standpoint I can say that the praise and appreciation comes naturally.. Imagine a country where holocaust is never taught to school children yet they grow up cultivating the affection and appreciation for Jews.. it's amazing this natural understanding of the Jewish country's surroundings, their contribution to the humanity through science and arts.

I managed to find the lone copy at my local book store today... it's extremely hard to read the hard and awful truths of what happened, but it's a book that EVERYONE really needs to read.
Israel isn't just fighting for their survival. This one tiny nation has the unenviable burden of fighting for ALL of mankind against an unbelievably evil & hateful ideology that we here in the West are truly ignorant in trying to understand.
