This looks awesome! Gaming industry needs MORE passionate story driven single player shooters IMO. I think people (especially me) are willing to pay $100 or more for high quality games in this genre. But you're doing it for free!
I love the asthetics and graphics, they are damn good, and whats even awesome about it - its made in first half-life engine! Also, thats a nice use of AI to make "sketches", id never in my life wouldve think of it, haha. However, wish you guys luck!
Interesting you ask, I was wondering about it the other day (water textures and what can be done there), whether we could have a bit of water somewhere down there, maybe a cave with it and something interesting in it. We'll see.
@@EXCAVATION_GoldSrc From what I know is that water is Goldsrc is abke to put out this kind of wave effect which they for some reason deleted in Source. I wanted to make an ocean map in source but this fact turned me down
@@kotorybeusz7246 Indeed, it's a bit weird that in GoldSrc water can be 3D, but not in Source. I'm more curious about the water texture itself, whether it's possible to do something there to make the water appear more realistic. I'll definitely do some experimenting.
When I started the mod I already had a ton of experience with pixelart/pixelated graphics and design (I work as a concept artist in the industry), so I was able to jump right into texture creation.
pushing old sourcr engine to its limits so awesome
It's interesting yeah.
awesome texture work
Putting the effort.
Absolutely beautiful!
@@ole-martinthorsen6996 Thx!

Thx buddy. Indeed, big studios don't seem to bother as they used to so it's up to smaller devs to give it a try.

Thx, AI renders are very helpful for sketching.
Can't wait to see where this goes, Absolutely love your texture work!
Thx!
Sick! Impressive poly count on monsters, too.
Yeah, we'll have a higher polycount for characters than what is usually seen for GoldSrc.
this looks awesome. keeping a close eye on this project.
Glad you like it.
It looks amazing so far!

Thx!
this is gonna be a banger
Hehe, we'll see.
Very exciting, good work
Thx.
This is Ultra Mega AwesoHugeMazing! ( ╹▽╹ )
Model of scientist looks great!!!
Thx buddy, yeah, the scientist has turned out nice. We'll start animating it soon.
I love this. Are you going to do anything with water within GoldSrc? I am interested what kind of things you would be able to pull off with it

@@EXCAVATION_GoldSrc Early half life water texture was really nice, it had these water ripples animated on it
@@kotorybeusz7246 Yeah, I remember.
How did you get so well at making these textures?

@@EXCAVATION_GoldSrc Very dope, awesome work, I love your style.

Only after we succeed making the shorter.
