thank you for your video I like the content but in this video I think, you made the comparison from those who are at a early stage of those industry could you make a video from those who are at a senior level like the comparison between senior patner in consulting vs IB vs PE vs VC anyway i like the content I hope that one day I'll do a video with you to talk about this kind of topic
HI Kevin, I have been watching your videos for a while till I noticed in this video u are established in China. I am an overseas student in China and I trying to break into the financial job market in China. I need some practical advice and I wanted to know if there a way to get in touch with you directly. Thank you in advance. HAPPI Brel
Back at it again with a great video, Kevin! 🙌🏾 You said in your video that juniors in MC and IB spend most of their time doing Excel models and PowerPoint presentations. Do companies have particular models/patterns/structures that should be followed for every single Excel model and PowerPoint presentation? From what I've understood, work can be very repetitive especially in IB. Why is that? Is it because there is a single process that is applied in every single case (like first apply this model, then do this, finally do that...)? Is it because it's always the same information that is expected in those presentations? Is it because the data and documents gathered to do those analysis are always the same in IB? Sorry if these questions seem straightforward, I'm just trying to understand! 😅
@@megalomedia Thank you for your reply Kevin! I'm studying in France so things work differently here. Basically, I've just made the decision to go for a gap year in order to give me the time to do 2 more internships (6 months duration for each of them) . This means I will graduate from my engineering school in 2022 instead of 2021. I do not come from a target school so I want to leverage the project manager intern role I've just secured at HSBC France to get another internship at HSBC but in IB this time. I hope this will help me get into the biggest consulting firms.
@@EmployerBrandingbypumpkin I am really interested in pursuing a career in pe, could you plz give a little detail about how to get into? Considering I m from non banking background.
@@muhammad-zaynkalyan6051 I know this is late but it’s basically: - Cambridge - Oxford - Imperial - UCL - Warwick - LSE - Durham Looking at Masters, add LBS to the above. Ofc there are some good uni’s that were not mentioned, but from my own experience, most people come from these unis.
Kevin, I had a specific question regarding PE. I have heard that if you don’t enter this field proper to getting an MBA, it’s nearly impossible to get in post MBA. This applies even if you do banking post MBA. Since I’m an engineer at Amazon, I basically have no shot at a good PE firm in USA, correct? Should I bother going down this path? It’s my dream and I’d do whatever it takes. Thank you and keep up the amazing content!

What about VC firm to corporate VC? Doing VC work for a large corporation. That might be a good exit?
Never worked in IB or VC. For me personally Private Equity was a great experience and allowed for even more depth in analysis than MC.
You need a very good profile, what you obviously don't have...

you could break into a VC that focus on Biotech
