The men who relies on the front pacer to slipstream themselves thru the race are the smartest racers but the man who relies on his own strength to win it is the greatest.
Jakob Ingebrigtsen, and Kipchoge, are the best long distance runners in the world now. Even if you loose one race, you are still the best. They are the ones everyone are hoping and trying to beat.
For sure Evans deserves to be ranked #1 atm. But, Kipchoge is still the favorite for Paris 2024. If he loses another thon (say, this fall), AND Evans wins, then I'd put Evans as the Paris favorite. Jmo.
As a Kenyan I laughed so hard at this...3 Middle aged Americans debating who is the best marathoner Chebet or Kipchoge seriously? ...honestly very funny lol
I hate that whole “he literally wrote the book” cliche. That implies that people use the term “he wrote the book on blank” metaphorically, which pretty much no one does. Also, he didn’t write “the” book. He wrote a book. There are several books on Boston.
Note: while Boston is fantastic amazing race it doesn’t really count - because it’s point to point. In the majors it’s a case to it’s self and should stand alone while being celebrated. It’s a marathon with a big asterisk.
Once a legend is perceived as beatable, they become more beatable. That happened with Serena. She and Kipchoge are still GOATs

Kipchoge loses one race, he's finished. He broke the world record in his last race.

Nobody’s breaking two in Boston silly man😅

Kipchoge's leg was injured.
He lost fair and square

I agree it’s not even an offical course and doesn’t count for world record.
Is there a place for Alexander the Great on the panel? I have some opinions I want to air...
Hahaha! Vocês devem estar de brincadeira! Kipchoge perde 1, aí não vale nada que ele fez até hoje, inclusive o recorde mundial em setembro passado?
To me whoever holds the WR has to be regarded the best.
Kiptum is easily the best
Rojos can u pls speak a bit slower 😨
