I just went back to listen to all Variations of this remix by year, and hear are my top 5 5. 2016 4. 2015 3. 2018 2. 2019 1. 2009/2014 (duh) No 2017 version unfortunately.

When was this song originally launched? Cause X Vs Zero Decisive Battle by UltimatemaverickX was launched on UA-cam in May Of 2009 and The original X Vs Zero Breis Remix came to UA-cam some years later
If im not mistaken, the first iteration breis made of this song was back in 2014, he continued to make a new one every year since. EDIT: My bad, apparently breis made his first rendition of this track before 2014 but I'm not sure which year, then he made a new one in 2014 and then a new one every subsequent year til now.

Sad news... Breis won't be doing 2020 remix of X vs Zero because "I will only do it if I have a change in equipment". So what that means, even if he does it, it's pretty much going to sound the same.
He should have learned how the original remix of X vs Zero theme was played that way it sound like original track that came from the Mega Man X 5 Soundtrack.
I guess it's a matter of taste and what you're listening these remixes on. Not to say this one is bad, but I personally prefer the 2015 version. Cheers!
X vs Zero... or how to waste a plot point of many. Great theme, sadly not done justice by its terribly underwhelming game. Then again, the same can be said about X6's entire OST, Gate's fortress and Sigma in particular.
Can't say X5 had a wasted potential plot in my opinion, But it's not everyone's Subtank of energy. Considering the RNG moment in the middle of it all. But X6 and X7 had such wasted potential. X8 was fun for me.
Personally, I would have liked it if you could still play as Zero after he turned Maverick; they could have lead this into a special ending after defeating X. Incidentally, why was the script so unprofessional? "Reploid Air Force", "Octopardo", Sigma leaving the scene in the bad ending route after killing Zero (he had an open shot at X), the new characters not doing much in the story, Zero using Soul Body despite not learning it in X4, the Dr. Wily aspect of the story being wasted, the Guns n' Roses references (to be fair, this is an opinionated point), the bad ending making little sense (why does Dr. Light erase X's memories of Zero? I get that it's upsetting, but he doesn't do this in the good ending, and didn't do it for any of the Mavericks before)... all of these drag it down. It's a really underwhelming intended finale to the X series, and I'm almost glad Capcom made X6.
Breis' remixes somehow keep getting worse each year. The guitars sound more and more grungy and gross, the volume mixing gets worse with the bass in particular getting more quiet, they sound more and more muddied, and they're less energetic in general. Please tell me I'm not the only one who sees this
